West Bank: Israeli forces launched an arrest campaign targeting about 30 citizens
Last night and Thursday morning, the occupation forces arrested at least 30 citizens, including journalist Wafa Awwad, and former prisoners. The arrests were concentrated in the Ramallah and Hebron governorates, while the rest of the arrests were distributed among the governorates of: Bethlehem, Tubas, Tulkarm, Nablus, and Jenin. .
The occupation forces have continued to storm Nour Shams/Tulkarm camp for more than 30 hours, which has been subjected to comprehensive aggression, extensive field investigations of hundreds of citizens, and severe beatings against them. Note that, in light of the continuation of the military operation, we have not been able to confirm the numbers of detainees, and the occupation has maintained the number of detainees. Their arrest, in addition to the arrests, the occupation gave those who interrogated them in the field and released them numbers, and asked them not to return to the camp until next Friday.
The arrest campaign was accompanied by widespread raids and abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes, direct shooting to kill, and confiscation of vehicles, in addition to widespread sabotage operations that affected infrastructure.
Thus, the total number of arrests after October 7 rose to about (5,630), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
