The Israeli occupation army opened an investigation into a soldier suspected of executing a Palestinian from the Gaza Strip who was arrested by the occupation forces and asked him to guard him, before he shot and killed him.

This came according to what was reported by the newspaper "Haaretz", this evening, Monday, which reported that the Israeli army announced that a soldier who was guarding a "terrorist" who was arrested in the Gaza Strip was being interrogated on suspicion of shooting him and causing his death.

The Israeli army spokesman stated that the army arrested the Palestinian, who claims to be a fighter in the ranks of the Palestinian resistance factions, after interrogating him on the ground, and that the military police are “investigating the circumstances of the shooting.”

According to the Ynet website, it is clear that the field execution crime was carried out yesterday (Sunday), and the website stated that “a terrorist who was arrested yesterday during army operations in the Gaza Strip was transferred at the end of his investigation to the custody of a soldier.”

The website added, "It is suspected that the soldier shot and killed the detainee." The website quoted the Israeli army as saying, “Following the initial information provided, the military police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting.”

The Israeli reports did not indicate the circumstances of the arrest of the Palestinian who was subjected to a field execution, nor did they mention the location of the crime. They also did not reveal the identity of the killer soldier, and whether he had been arrested or whether he was still fighting in the ranks of the occupation in Gaza.
