The shot sparked controversy on social media, while Israeli newspapers also spoke about it, criticizing her waving her hand smilingly at the people of Gaza while she was being transported in a Red Cross vehicle.

Previous footage showed another prisoner shaking hands with a Qassam fighter while she was being handed over to the Red Cross for her release from the Gaza Strip.
