39 Palestinian prisoners, women and children, embrace freedom
39 Palestinian prisoners, women and children, enjoyed freedom after their release from Israeli prisons, as part of the first batch of the exchange deal concluded between Israel and Hamas, which included the release of 13 Israeli hostages from the Gaza Strip earlier.
Buses arrived at the municipality of Beitunia in preparation for receiving the prisoners, after crews from the Red Cross arrived at the prison in order to complete the transfer of the prisoners.
On Friday evening, the Israeli occupation released 39 detainees, including 24 women and 15 children, at the “Ofer” military prison, which is located on citizens’ lands in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, and from the “Al-Maskobiyya” detention center in occupied Jerusalem.
The Israeli forces suppressed the families of Palestinian prisoners while they were waiting for their release in front of the Ofer prison, west of Ramallah, as part of the first batch of the prisoner exchange deal between Israel and the Hamas movement.
The Israeli forces also stormed the homes of a number of families of female prisoners who will be released in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, and summoned a number of their family members for investigation.
