An Israeli military magazine calls for opening a front against Egypt and presents the argument
A report issued by "Israel Defense" magazine, published by the Israeli army, stated that Israel is required to threaten Egypt, and if necessary, Tel Aviv must attack on all fronts.
The Israeli military magazine report added that in the Middle East, armies of “murderers” have arisen, supported by Iran, Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria, and provided with bases, infrastructure, and weapons.
The magazine explained that the anti-Tel Aviv armed movements are being equipped with huge quantities of weapons while Egypt turns a blind eye. On the other hand, the Israeli tourist who enters Egypt or Sinai with a single bullet in his backpack is immediately imprisoned (referring to the incident of the arrest of an Israeli tourist). In Sinai, bullets were recently found in his bag.
The magazine, which directed its attack on Egypt, claimed: “Egypt has violated the peace agreement and is blatantly violating it without any Israeli response for fear of harming the agreement.”
It pointed out that the peace agreement stipulated the presence of an Egyptian force with a division size of only 60 kilometers east of the canal, but the Egyptians built three military airports with apartments and infrastructure for supplies and fuel, permanent camps for the divisions, and a force of about 100 tanks in Rafah, in addition to six crossings. The size of the highway under the Suez Canal and three radar stations in Sinai. What is more, the Egyptian army possesses modern Western and Eastern weapons, and all this armament is aimed at one target, which is Israel.
The magazine said that Sisi, “our friend,” is working against us with determination, even though our translators are keen to praise the peace agreement with him, and even warn that any measure in Gaza, such as the temporary transfer of uninvolved people to Egyptian territory, will lead to the destruction of this “important” agreement.
The magazine published by the Israeli army said that the settlement in the Egyptian context would put Israel in an impossible situation on its southern borders.
The magazine added that the ongoing Gaza war revealed the failures that arose in the vision of peace with armed organizations, not only tactical failures, but also strategic failures, which have accumulated over the years since the agreement with Egypt in 1977.
The Hebrew magazine's report criticized Tel Aviv's reliance on the Qataris who support Iran, and on Egypt, which was keen to arm Hamas and openly violates any agreement with Israel without fear.
The Israeli military magazine concluded its report by saying: “We will not be able to continue living here in the comprehensive defensive approach until now. The event in the south is a way to change our strategy, and we will receive all Western aid if we act correctly.”
