Senior officers in the Israeli army said that preparations are being made for the possibility of attacking Israel from other regions, such as Iran and Iraq, as long as the war on Gaza continues, and they indicated that the Gaza Strip will remain the central front for Israel, followed by the northern front facing Lebanon, according to Israeli media.

They added that the Israeli army is facing attacks, with missiles and drones, launched from Yemen, and yesterday, Iranian militias launched two drones from Syria.

The Israeli military now describes the war on Gaza as “multi-front,” but it is still not an all-out regional war.

The officers pointed out that if the war on Gaza ends within a week or two, "the war goals will not be achieved." This comes in the wake of statements by American officials that the duration of the war is limited, and that this is due to the very high number of civilian deaths in the Gaza Strip.

They added that at the political level, the army was given some breathing room in terms of continuing the war and continuing to recruit reserve forces. The officers said that what was meant was humanitarian operations and others that would allow the war to continue.

The officers continued that the state of alert at the Lebanese border continues, and that it is estimated that this alert will be maintained throughout the period of the war in the Gaza Strip.

They added that the Israeli army leadership realizes that a war in the north requires directing resources to it, but in this case also the Israeli army will be obligated to return to the goals of the war in Gaza.

The Israeli officers pointed out that fighting on all fronts leads to the intervention of major powers, and that Russia recently hosted leaders of the Hamas movement, and that China is moving things behind the scenes, and they form a “bloc” against Israel and the United States.
