As part of a series of meetings held by the delegation of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine during its visit to the People's Republic of China, at the invitation of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the delegation met with Xu Min, Head of the Information and Media Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. During the meeting, prospects for media and intellectual cooperation were discussed, as well as the role of media outlets and research centers in promoting dialogue among peoples.Husni Shilo, member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Secretary of the Central Information Department, and representative of the Palestine Center for Studies of the Global Civilization Initiative and Democratic Dialogue, emphasized that the digital revolution and rapid developments in media and communication technology necessitate building more effective media and intellectual partnerships based on the exchange of experiences and information, thereby enhancing understanding among peoples and serving issues of peace, development, and international cooperation.Shilo pointed out that confronting the challenges facing the media sector requires broader coordination among media institutions, think tanks, and universities, with a focus on preparing young media professionals, developing professional and technical capabilities, and utilizing modern technologies and artificial intelligence in knowledge production and enhancing civilizational communication.He also praised China's pioneering experience in poverty eradication and comprehensive development, affirming that China's achievements represent a human and developmental experience worthy of study and benefit, given its integrated development policies and long-term strategic vision.He added that the Communist Party of China has succeeded in presenting an outstanding model of integration between media, scientific research, and academic circles, which has contributed to knowledge production, policy formulation, and the promotion of intellectual dialogue, serving the path of development and modernization.At the end of the meeting, Shilo expressed his appreciation to the Communist Party of China and the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee for their warm reception and excellent organization, commending their efforts in strengthening communication with political forces, research centers, and research institutions around the world.He called for the establishment of a “Friends of China Group Worldwide,” comprising media professionals, researchers, academics, and research centers from various continents, to serve as a permanent platform for exchanging information and experiences, enhancing joint work, and launching media and intellectual initiatives that contribute to consolidating dialogue among civilizations, deepening understanding among peoples, and building partnerships that serve international peace, development, and justice.
