Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz, at a time when Israeli media indicates that there are significant gaps between Tel Aviv and Washington, especially regarding the second phase of the ceasefire plan in Gaza.
According to Maariv newspaper, the meeting was held in Netanyahu's office in the presence of the occupation's ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, and Washington's ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, in addition to a number of security officials.
The meeting, which was described as urgent, led to the postponement of Netanyahu's trial session, which was scheduled earlier in the day and approved by the court.
Netanyahu (76 years old) faces corruption charges that could lead to his imprisonment if convicted, and he submitted a request for pardon to the Israeli President last Sunday.
The two sides discussed the latest developments on the international scene and the continued coordination between Israel and the United States, where significant gaps appear in the transition to the second phase of the Trump peace plan in Gaza.
The United States seeks to accelerate the transition to the second phase, while Israel affirms that it must wait.
