The scenes that bring shame to all systems, slogans and entities, where children and the elderly are dying of hunger as well as bombing, are horrific by all standards. Enlightened, liberal, democratic Israel, which represents light, civilization, progress and science and claims to represent Judaism, accepts to bomb a defenseless people with airplanes and then imposes a siege that prevents the flow of medicine and food. What's worse is that there are those who support, collude, remain silent, adapt, ignore or feign compassion. All of these are responsible. All of these may pay the price sooner or later.
The humanitarian aid that should be brought into the Gaza Strip has turned into a real battle raging all over the world. Israel wants this aid to be a tool for dismantling Palestinian society and concentrating it in places where it is easy to monitor them or throw them outside the borders. Israel wants this aid to weaken Hamas and push it into clashes with segments of the Palestinian public. It wants this aid to help it in its military and security operations through operations of overthrow and arrest. It wants it to circumvent international bodies, confront global trials, and reduce the international criticism that surrounds it from all sides. Israel wants this aid to be a cosmetic tool on the one hand, a defense tool on the other, a security tool on the third hand, and a social tool on the fourth. For this reason, Israel spent millions of dollars to establish what is called the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, because what it obtains through this foundation is worth these millions. It seems that Israel persuaded America to put its name on this foundation so that it would take on an international character. It seems that America is convinced that the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is an alternative to all international bodies. Although many reliable international parties have refused to deal with this ominous foundation, Israel and America are determined. On that incomprehensible insistence.
By monopolizing the provision of aid in this humiliating, degrading and shameful manner, in addition to the martyrdom of nearly a thousand Palestinians and the wounding of approximately ten thousand, Israel believes that providing aid achieves what it wants in terms of security, image and defense. Israel’s prevention of the entry of aid and its distribution through international bodies, especially UNRWA, means that Israel is not fighting Hamas, as it claims, but rather wants to punish all Palestinians, considering them all guilty and that there is no hope for their reform or cooperation with them today or tomorrow. Israel’s decision to starve the Palestinians in this way is a real adventure for the entire future.
Closer to Israel, other parties, without naming them, have also turned aid into a tool for profit, monopoly, pressure, interference, presence, point-scoring, and open competition. Before aid enters the Gaza Strip, it faces objections, contradictions, and bureaucracy. Once it enters the Gaza Strip, it faces theft, kidnapping, sale, monopoly, and everything else you can think of.
Aid, which is supposed to be primarily humanitarian, has become a major blackmail tool, with everyone seeking to use it to score whatever positions, profits, and positions they want. And without naming any party, this aid has, for nearly 22 months, truly transformed into a global story in which certain parties are not ashamed to be the criminal and evil party. All of this is at the expense of a child in Gaza who screams from the bottom of his heart: I am hungry, or a pregnant woman who falls to the ground in hunger and surrender.
Whoever watches this without feeling a split heart, humanity is innocent of him.
