Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golub announced that his government agreed, today, Thursday, to the decision to recognize an independent Palestinian state, after Spain, Ireland, and Norway adopted the same step.
He said during a press conference in the capital, Ljubljana: “Today the government decided to recognize Palestine as an independent and sovereign state.”
The EU member state's parliament must also approve the government's decision in the coming days.
