Macron: The State of Palestine will not be established without the recognition of "Israel," and Trump's Nobel Peace Prize is contingent upon ending the war on Gaza.

French President Emmanuel Macron linked the possibility of his American counterpart Donald Trump receiving the Nobel Peace Prize to his success in reaching a solution that ends the ongoing Israeli occupation war in the Gaza Strip, which has lasted for nearly two years.

In an interview with French channel "BFM TV," Macron commented on Trump's speech at the United Nations, saying: "I see an active American president saying: I want peace... The Nobel Peace Prize is only possible if you reach a solution to this conflict," clearly indicating that the peace efforts promoted by Trump should culminate in ending the conflict in Gaza.

Macron's statements come in the context of his comments on the American president's diplomatic activity, who spoke in his UN speech about reaching settlements for seven conflicts. On another note, regarding the French recognition of the State of Palestine announced on Monday, Macron clarified that the actual establishment of the Palestinian state on the ground will only be achieved "the day Tel Aviv recognizes it," pointing out that the recognition by the Israeli occupation represents the crucial step to realize this solution.
