Channel 12 Hebrew reveals the outlines of the occupation's plan: to remain in 53% of the Gaza Strip until the last detainee is released.

Channel 12 Hebrew revealed this morning, Thursday, the main features of the Israeli occupation's plan regarding the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

The new Israeli occupation plan is based on several key points, the most prominent of which is the continued Israeli occupation and its control over an area of 53% of the Gaza Strip. The channel confirmed that the complete withdrawal from these areas is contingent upon the release of the last hostages held in the sector.

On the humanitarian front, the plan includes allowing the entry of 600 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip daily.

The plan sets a precise timeline for the start of the exchange process, with the release of living hostages scheduled to begin next Sunday (October 12, 2025), and the delivery of the bodies of deceased hostages on Monday (October 13, 2025).

Hours after announcing a historic agreement, the White House published the full text of President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip early Thursday.

The first phase begins immediately after the approval of both parties and includes critical provisions currently being implemented: an immediate halt to the war and the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces to an "agreed line."

The plan outlines a clear vision for the end of the military and political role of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, stipulating: a general amnesty for Hamas members who commit to peaceful coexistence and surrender their weapons.

The plan emphasizes that Israel will not occupy or annex Gaza.

Urgent "Agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip"

The ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip has entered its third year, and many Western countries, led by the European Union, still refuse to officially recognize the genocide while continuing their economic and security partnerships and exporting various weapons that devastate the Palestinian people for the occupation.

From the very first day of the genocide, officials in these countries and their media arms rushed to adopt the Israeli narrative. When civilians are targeted, massacres are committed, and schools and hospitals are bombed, the situation is marketed as legitimate military targets.

When children are killed and dismembered, and entire families are erased from the civil registry, there is no mention of them in news broadcasts or newspaper headlines. When victims become mere numbers, the figures are questioned because they come from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza!

They have made every effort and continue to do so to portray the occupation as a victim, claiming that October 7, 2023, is the beginning of the whole story. The undeniable truth is that the story began more than a hundred years ago when Balfour, who had no right, gave a homeland in Palestine to those who did not deserve it.

The British mandate imposed on Palestine came to fulfill this promise, and since then, the Palestinian people have barely emerged from one catastrophe before entering another.

Today, we witness a continuous massacre that has entered its third year, recorded in history books as unprecedented.

The West and its media have deliberately ignored the plight of the Palestinian people, promoting the narrative of the occupation, which is based on a biblical vision that considers the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip as 'the Amalekites of our time' who deserve death.

Just weeks ago, after hunger devastated women, children, the sick, and the elderly, there was a shift in the West's supportive stance towards the occupation at the level of some governments and media outlets.

This subtle change came too late, allowing the occupation to commit genocide. It is not a moral awakening but rather a response to popular pressure and international reports documenting the details of the genocide on a daily basis.

The ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip has exposed the international community, which has stood helpless in the face of the arrogance of the occupation and its supporters from the colonial West led by the United States.

"Drop Site" website: Trump provided assurances to intermediaries that Israel would not resume its occupation of Gaza.

The website "Drop Site," specialized in political and military affairs, reported, citing a source it described as "close to the mediators," that U.S. President Donald Trump made clear commitments to ensure that the Israeli occupation would not allow the resumption of war on the Gaza Strip following the implementation of a prisoner exchange deal.

According to the report published by the site, these American guarantees came to overcome the main obstacle that was hindering the reaching of a final agreement, which was the fear of Hamas and the mediators that the ceasefire would merely be a temporary phase during which the occupation would regain its prisoners and then resume its war on the Strip.

The source indicated that the guarantees provided by Trump were part of intense negotiations that took place behind the scenes, aimed at achieving a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire, not just a short humanitarian truce.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed early Thursday morning the reaching of an official agreement between Israel and Hamas, announcing the start of the implementation of the first phase of the peace plan his administration proposed to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

The announcement came through an official statement published by the U.S. President, culminating days of marathon negotiations and global anticipation.

The official statement from President Trump reads: "I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of the peace plan we proposed. This means that all detainees will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw its forces to an agreed-upon line as the first steps towards a strong, lasting, and eternal peace that will treat all parties fairly! It is a great day for the Arab and Islamic worlds, Israel, all neighboring countries, and the United States of America, and we thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to achieve this unprecedented historical event. Blessed are the peacemakers!" - Donald Trump

Trump added that the war has officially ended in the Gaza Strip with the signing of Phase 1 of the Gaza War End Plan. The official announcement comes to give the final green light to start implementing the agreement that was signed in Egypt.

Field sources reported that Israeli army units have already begun their preparations for the initial withdrawal to the agreed-upon "yellow line," coinciding with the start of logistical operations for the exchange of prisoners and hostages.

Guterres calls on all parties to fully adhere to the Gaza agreement.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the agreement announced by US President Donald Trump that Israel and Hamas have reached to implement the first phase of the peace plan for Gaza, calling on all parties involved to "fully commit to its terms."

Guterres praised in a statement the diplomatic efforts made by the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey in mediating "to achieve this much-needed accomplishment."

He urged all parties involved to seize this historic opportunity to establish a reliable political path towards ending the Israeli occupation and recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, "and achieving a two-state solution that allows Israelis and Palestinians to live in peace and security. The risks have never been this grave."

He affirmed that the United Nations will support the full implementation of the agreement and will expand the scope of relief and enhance recovery and reconstruction efforts in the devastated Gaza.

The UN Secretary-General also emphasized the necessity of ensuring the immediate and unhindered entry of humanitarian supplies and essential commercial goods into Gaza.

Guterres stressed the need to release all detainees in what he described as a dignified manner and to ensure a permanent ceasefire and an end to the fighting and suffering.

The announcement of the agreement comes after President Donald Trump stated that both Hamas and Israel agreed to his peace plan.

He said in a post on Truth Social early Thursday that Israel would withdraw its forces to an agreed line as initial steps towards a strong and lasting peace.

He added that this means "all hostages will be released very soon."

Trump considered this announcement "a great day for the Arab and Islamic world, Israel, and the United States," and thanked the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) also announced in a statement that an agreement had been reached to cease the war on the Gaza Strip, withdraw Israeli occupation forces from the entire area, allow humanitarian aid, and implement a prisoner exchange process between Israel and the resistance factions.

The movement called in its statement on President Trump and the guarantor countries of the agreement to compel the occupation government to implement all terms of the agreement and not allow it to evade or procrastinate in applying the understandings reached, and urged Arab, Islamic, and international parties to support this path.

For his part, the spokesperson for the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Majid Al-Ansari, stated that the mediators announced reaching an agreement on all terms for implementing the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, noting that the agreement would lead to ending the war and releasing the Israeli detainees and Palestinian prisoners.

On the Israeli side, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he would hold a government meeting today, Thursday, to approve the announced agreement, which would end the war in Gaza and return all detainees.

The Israeli Prime Minister's office stated that Netanyahu had a conversation with the US President following the announcement of the agreement to end the war in Gaza.

It added that Netanyahu invited Trump to deliver a speech in the Knesset.

Since last Monday evening, Sharm El-Sheikh has been hosting indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel regarding the implementation of Trump's plan to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

On September 29, Trump announced a 20-point plan, including "the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza, a ceasefire, and the disarmament of Hamas."

Hamas had agreed to previous proposals for a ceasefire in Gaza, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, wanted by the International Criminal Court for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza, resorted to procrastination and continued the genocide in the Palestinian territory.

Israel estimates that there are 48 Israeli captives held in Gaza, of whom 20 are alive, while around 11,100 Palestinians are imprisoned in its jails suffering from torture, starvation, and medical neglect, according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights and media reports.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with US support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in 67,173 martyrs and 169,780 injured—most of them children and women—and a famine that has claimed the lives of 460 Palestinians, including 154 children.

Hamas contacted the prisoner cells.. and promised: They will be returned within 72 hours.

The newspaper "Israel Hayom" reported that cautious optimism is no longer present among all parties involved in the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations, and the prevailing opinion is that the first phase of the agreement will be signed on Thursday or, at the latest, on Friday.

A senior U.S. diplomatic source in Sharm El-Sheikh told the newspaper that the issue is not a matter of "if" but rather "when."

By mutual agreement, discussions will continue into the night between Wednesday and Thursday in an attempt to finalize as many details as possible, but it is unclear whether there is a chance to complete everything during this nighttime discussion.

According to the newspaper, the agreement will include an immediate ceasefire, the release of all living prisoners within 72 hours, and the deceased within a week.

Then, the release of 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 other prisoners, the withdrawal of the Israeli army to the yellow line after the release of the prisoners, and the opening of all supply routes through United Nations organizations.

The newspaper learned that Hamas, in response to an Israeli demand, announced in today's discussions that it would succeed in releasing all living prisoners within the timeframe specified in Trump's plan, that is, within 72 hours of its signing.

According to reports, Hamas leadership has contacted all cells holding prisoners and ordered them to prepare for their release.

The Red Cross has been instructed to prepare vehicles and ambulances to transport the hostages to the Israel Defense Forces as quickly as possible.

The newspaper also mentioned that Hamas will begin search operations by the end of last week and has collected at least some bodies.

However, the exact number of abducted individuals who are alive remains uncertain.

Two sources, one American and the other Arab, described Wednesday's talks as surprisingly positive, attributing this to the intensive preparatory work done by mediators with Hamas, as well as the initial negotiating meetings that nearly completed all technical aspects according to "Israel Hayom."

The pace of bombing on Gaza has escalated, and the death toll has exceeded 67,000.

The Israeli occupation forces continued their intensive bombardment of various areas in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens in recent hours. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll since the outbreak of the war two years ago has risen to more than 67,000 martyrs.

Reporters and medical sources reported an escalation in the bombardment of several areas in the strip, as occupation aircraft targeted residential buildings in Khan Younis city in the southern part of the strip. The Nasser Medical Complex confirmed the martyrdom of a Palestinian and the injury of others seeking aid near a distribution center north of Rafah city.

The Al-Awda Hospital also reported the martyrdom of a citizen in artillery shelling that targeted the vicinity of Wadi Gaza north of the Al-Nuseirat camp in the central strip. In Gaza city, residents retrieved the body of a martyr from the Al-Nasr neighborhood after he was targeted by an Israeli drone while checking his home, as his retrieval was delayed for days due to the intensity of the bombardment, while several martyrs remain in the same area.

In the Al-Sabra neighborhood in the southern part of the city, the occupation forces destroyed homes after detonating four military vehicles loaded with explosives within residential areas, causing widespread destruction to buildings and public facilities.

The government media office in Gaza stated that the occupation has carried out more than 230 air and artillery strikes since dawn on Saturday on areas densely populated with civilians and displaced persons, resulting in the martyrdom of 118 people, including women and children, with 72 martyrs in Gaza city alone.

It added that Israel "continues to commit clear massacres against civilians," emphasizing that the ongoing aggression "ignores calls for a ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump and the positive response provided to the proposal."

The office called on the international community and the U.S. administration to take urgent and effective action to stop the aggression and impose a real ceasefire.

For its part, the Ministry of Health in Gaza stated in a statement today, Wednesday, that 10 Palestinians were martyred and 61 others were injured in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of casualties from the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, to 67,183 martyrs and 169,841 injured.

It pointed out that several victims remain under the rubble or in the streets due to the difficulty of reaching ambulance and civil defense crews because of the ongoing bombardment.

The statement added that the recorded toll since March 18 of last year reached 13,588 dead and 57,800 injured, while the number of those martyred while trying to obtain humanitarian aid has risen to 2,613, with more than 19,000 injured.

For his part, the spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza, Hisham Mahna, stated that some of the committee's teams were subjected to direct attacks during their humanitarian work, noting that the committee's current priority is to support what remains of the exhausted health system in the strip.

In the same context, the United Nations and relief organizations warned of an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, explaining that more than 80% of the strip's population, which numbers about 2.3 million, have lost their homes or sources of livelihood.

Hospitals are also suffering from a severe shortage of fuel, medicines, and medical equipment, amid difficulties in delivering humanitarian aid due to the ongoing military operations and entry restrictions imposed at the crossings.

Colombia rises in solidarity with Gaza and protesters burn the flag of the occupation (photos)

A large number of citizens gathered in the heart of the Colombian capital, in a civil and union initiative, in a solidarity march with Gaza, coinciding with the second anniversary of the war in the enclave.

The demonstrators burned the Israeli occupation flag on their way to Bolivar Square, as a symbolic and angry gesture against the ongoing bombing and blockade imposed on the enclave.

The participants in the demonstration raised Palestinian flags and banners with phrases such as 'Save Gaza' and 'Stop the Bombing Now,' and chants condemning the destruction affecting civilians echoed.

During the demonstration, participants called for unifying solidarity with the Palestinians and exerting pressure on governments to take stronger stances against Israeli aggression.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro sparked significant reactions with his statements before the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where he described what is happening in Gaza as 'genocide that the world cannot remain silent about.'

In his speech, Petro called for the formation of an international force to enforce international justice decisions and liberate Palestine, considering that the phase of words and condemnations has failed to bring about change.

He also added that the next step should not be a hesitant agreement, but rather requires direct action: 'Countries with military capabilities must act.'

The capital Bogotá hosted in July 2025 the proceedings of the international conference of the Hague Group countries and their friendly nations, to discuss developments in Gaza and ways to pressure to stop the aggression.

The expanded session of the Sharm El-Sheikh meetings began with the participation of high-level delegations from Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States.

Earlier on Wednesday, Egyptian media reported that the third day of indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Sharm El-Sheikh would discuss the issue of prisoners and Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

The Sharm El-Sheikh meetings are addressing the issue of prisoners, guarantees against the recurrence of Israeli aggression on Gaza, the withdrawal of the occupation, and the entry of aid into the sector.

The meetings include the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence (Hassan Rashad), the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs (Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani), and the head of the Turkish intelligence agency (Ibrahim Kalin).

It also includes the head of the Israeli negotiating delegation (Ron Dermer), and the American envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Egypt has begun discussing lists of Palestinian prisoners intended to be released from Israeli prisons under the potential exchange agreement.

Hamas has demanded clarification on the mechanisms and procedures necessary to implement Trump's plan, along with guarantees against Israel returning to aggression on Gaza.

Hamas announced that it exchanged lists of names of prisoners to be released as part of the indirect negotiations with Israel.

Since Monday evening, the city of Sharm El-Sheikh has been hosting indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas regarding the implementation of Trump's plan to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

"Al-Qassam" announces the killing and injury of Israeli soldiers in Khan Younis.

The "Al-Qassam Brigades" announced on Wednesday that they killed and injured a number of Israeli soldiers by targeting two vehicles in Khan Younis city, south of the Gaza Strip, as part of their response to the genocide being committed by Tel Aviv against Palestinians for the past two years.

The "Al-Qassam Brigades" stated in a statement that they targeted two military Humvees with "Yassin 105" missiles on Tuesday, resulting in the death and injury of several Israeli soldiers on a supply line for the army near the "Jorat Al-Lout" clinic south of Khan Younis.

They added that their "fighters observed the landing of a helicopter for evacuation," without providing additional details.

In a second statement, the "Al-Qassam Brigades" said they targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers and vehicles with mortar shells on Tuesday in the Al-Maqousi area northwest of Gaza City.

This comes as part of the Palestinian factions' response to the army's attempts to occupy Gaza City and displace its citizens, and in the context of resisting the genocide being perpetrated by Israel for the past two years.

According to numerous international reports, Israel imposes strict military censorship on its media regarding human and material losses due to "Palestinian factions" strikes, for various reasons, including maintaining the morale of Israelis.

Due to the complex combat conditions in Gaza, the "Al-Qassam Brigades" delay announcing some of their field operations, as it is first required to secure the withdrawal of fighters and their safe return from the fronts, and to complete verification and field documentation operations.

Israeli settlers attack olive pickers in the West Bank.

Israeli settlers attacked olive pickers on Wednesday in the town of Qusra in the northern occupied West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said that a group of settlers assaulted olive harvesters in the lands of Qusra, south of Nablus, under the protection of the Israeli army.

They added that stone-throwing clashes erupted between Palestinian citizens and the settlers, prompting the Israeli army to intervene to protect the settlers, using live ammunition and tear gas canisters.

The Israeli army forced Palestinian farmers to evacuate their lands, according to the witnesses.

Attacks by settlers typically increase at this time of year, coinciding with the start of the olive harvest season, which is a key crop that many farmers rely on for their livelihoods.

Ma'ariv: How did Hamas defeat Israel?

Two years after the Al-Aqsa Flood attack launched by the Palestinian resistance on October 7, military analysts assert that Israel's defeat against Hamas did not occur on the morning of October 7, 2023, but rather nine years earlier, specifically on August 26, 2014, when an Israeli aggression against Gaza ended after 50 days.

The analyst believes that since that day, Israel has built a misleading myth around itself about deterrence and superiority, and it has believed its own narrative until the moment of collapse. Meanwhile, Hamas emerged from the rubble to rebuild its strength, shifting the battle from defense to offense, transforming into what the military analyst calls the 'Hamas Army.'

The article provides a candid dissection of the Israeli failures on military, intelligence, political, and social levels, warning that ignoring the lessons will lead to a 'new October 7,' more catastrophic than what Israel experienced in 2023.

Dermer arrives in Sharm El Sheikh to lead the Israeli delegation in Gaza negotiations.

Israeli negotiating delegation head Ron Dermer arrived in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, on Wednesday to participate in indirect talks with Hamas regarding a ceasefire agreement as part of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan.

Dermer, who is the Minister of Strategic Affairs, arrived simultaneously with the American delegation that includes Washington's Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law.

The Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported: "Minister Ron Dermer has arrived in Sharm El Sheikh to participate in talks on the return of hostages (prisoners) and ending the war in Gaza."

For its part, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority stated: "A new round of negotiations regarding the U.S. president's plan to end the war" in Gaza began this morning in Sharm El Sheikh.

The official authority added that the discussions "are gaining momentum with the joining of high-level delegations from the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey."

It quoted an unnamed Israeli source familiar with the matter as saying that "the United States is managing the negotiations at an accelerated pace to close outstanding issues, but so far it cannot be said that anything has been achieved."

Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 12 reported: "The defense establishment expects the situation to become clearer in a few days, through the ongoing intensive negotiations in Egypt."

It quoted a high-ranking unnamed Israeli security source as saying, "We have not been in such a situation before, and the current circumstances have created favorable conditions for progress towards an agreement to end the war and return the abductees."

According to the Israeli channel, "Due to the extreme sensitivity of the negotiations, the Israeli army received clear instructions from the highest levels: any uncalculated step could affect what is happening in the negotiation rooms in Egypt."

It continued: "The Chief of Staff of the army, Eyal Zamir, ordered the forces in the Gaza Strip to exercise the utmost caution to avoid any operational incident that could harm the chances of progress."

Channel 12 added: "Estimates indicate that within a few days, by Thursday, we will know whether this is a historic achievement or a return to large-scale war in the heart of the Gaza Strip."

Earlier on Wednesday, the Egyptian news channel reported that the third day of negotiations in Sharm El Sheikh would discuss the issue of prisoners and Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

Hamas announced on Wednesday that it exchanged lists of names of prisoners to be released as part of the indirect negotiations with Israel, according to a statement from the media advisor to the head of the political bureau of the movement, Taher al-Nono.

Since Monday evening, Sharm El Sheikh has been hosting indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas regarding the implementation of Trump's plan to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

On September 29, Trump announced a plan consisting of 20 points, including: the release of Israeli prisoners in Gaza, a ceasefire, and the disarmament of Hamas.

Hamas agreed to previous proposals for a ceasefire in the Strip, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delayed and continued the extermination in Gaza, while families of prisoners and opposition claimed that this aimed to keep him in power.

Tel Aviv estimates that there are 48 Israeli prisoners in Gaza, of whom 20 are alive, while about 11,100 Palestinians are imprisoned in its jails suffering from torture, starvation, and medical neglect, many of whom have died, according to Palestinian and Israeli human rights and media reports.

With U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 8, 2023, resulting in 67,173 deaths, and 169,780 injuries, most of whom are children and women, and famine has claimed the lives of 460 Palestinians, including 154 children.

Sisi invites Trump to attend the signing of the anticipated agreement regarding Gaza.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has invited his American counterpart Donald Trump to attend the signing of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, should it be reached in Sharm El Sheikh, amid optimism surrounding the negotiations being conducted under what is known as the Trump plan.

The 'Cairo' news channel reported el-Sisi as saying during a graduation ceremony for a new batch of police academy students, "I send a message to President Trump to continue his support for reaching an agreement regarding Gaza."

El-Sisi added that Trump sent his envoys (Steve Mnuchin and Jared Kushner) with a clear mandate to work on ending the Gaza war, praising the American president's efforts to end the war in Gaza.

The Egyptian president emphasized that Cairo is keen to ensure the success of the Sharm El Sheikh negotiations to end the war in the sector.

The indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Egypt are witnessing international momentum with the arrival of high-level delegations from Turkey, Qatar, and the United States today, Wednesday, raising expectations that the situation will become clearer soon.

On September 29, Trump announced a plan consisting of 20 points, including: prisoner exchanges, a ceasefire, and the disarmament of Hamas.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported - citing an unnamed Israeli source - that the United States is managing the negotiations that began the day before yesterday at an accelerated pace to close outstanding issues, but so far it cannot be said that anything has been achieved effectively.

Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 12 (private) reported today that the military establishment expects the situation to become clearer within a few days through the ongoing intensive negotiations in Egypt.

It quoted a high-level Israeli security source as saying that the current conditions, both on the ground and politically, have created favorable circumstances for progress towards an agreement to end the war and return the 'captives.'

On the second day of negotiations, Egypt began discussing lists of Palestinian prisoners intended for release from Israeli prisons, in addition to exploring a mechanism for Israeli withdrawal.

For its part, Hamas requested clarifications and guarantees regarding the implementation of Trump's plan, particularly concerning the end of the Israeli genocide, according to 'Cairo' news, citing unnamed sources.

UNICEF: The war on Gaza represents an affront to humanity, and a ceasefire is an urgent necessity.

The Executive Director of UNICEF, Catherine Russell, confirmed that the ongoing suffering of children in Gaza for more than 700 days is an affront to our shared humanity, calling for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the war that has caused unprecedented humanitarian tragedies.

Russell stated in a press release that Israeli airstrikes on the city of Gaza and other parts of the Strip are still ongoing, emphasizing that the world must not allow this catastrophic situation to continue.

She added that reports over the past two years indicate that around 64,000 children have been killed or injured across Gaza, including at least 1,000 infants, stressing that the number of casualties could be much higher due to the unknown number of children who have died from diseases or are still trapped under rubble.

She explained that famine continues in the city of Gaza and extends southward, where children are living in "harsh and shocking" conditions, noting that the crisis of malnutrition, especially among infants, has reached alarming levels.

Russell emphasized that the need for a ceasefire has become extremely urgent, pointing out that recent reports since last Saturday morning indicated the death of at least 14 children due to the ongoing intense Israeli bombardment of the city of Gaza and other areas in the Strip.

She expressed UNICEF's welcome for all international efforts aimed at ending the war and charting a path toward peace in Gaza and the region, affirming that any peace plan must include an immediate ceasefire, the release of prisoners, and the provision of safe, rapid, and unobstructed humanitarian corridors to deliver aid through all possible crossings and routes, to the extent needed by all residents of Gaza, especially children.

She confirmed that international humanitarian law is clear on this matter, stating that depriving civilians of humanitarian assistance is absolutely prohibited and that all military operations must be guided by the principles of distinction, proportionality, and precaution.

Jerusalem Awqaf: 1,300 Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa under police protection

The Islamic Waqf in Jerusalem stated that 1,300 Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday, under police protection. The incursion coincides with the Jewish "Feast of Tabernacles," which began yesterday, Tuesday, and lasts for a week.

The Islamic Waqf mentioned in a brief statement that 1,300 Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem this morning with police protection. More settlers are expected to storm the mosque after the noon prayer, coinciding with the "Feast of Tabernacles."

Earlier on Wednesday, the official Israeli broadcasting authority reported that the office of National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stated that he stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque "to pray for victory in the war (genocide in Gaza) and the destruction of Hamas and the return of the captives (prisoners)."

Ben Gvir has stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque 12 times since taking office at the end of 2022, including 9 times since the start of the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.

Videos showed Ben Gvir dancing with several Israeli extremists in the Al-Buraq Square, adjacent to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which Jews refer to as the Western Wall.

This comes a day after more than 500 Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday, according to the Waqf of Jerusalem.

Palestinians assert that Israel is intensifying its crimes to Judaize East Jerusalem, including the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and erase its Arab and Islamic identity.

The Israeli incursions into Al-Aqsa coincide with a genocide war launched by Tel Aviv with American support on the Gaza Strip since October 8, 2023, which has resulted in 67,173 deaths and 169,780 injuries, most of whom are children and women, and a famine that has claimed the lives of 460 Palestinians, including 154 children.

Political expert: Two years after October 7, Palestine is the graveyard of failed strategies.

In a lengthy article, Palestinian writer Mohammad Shahada painted a tragic picture reflecting the extent of the destruction that has affected all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip, due to the fierce war waged by the occupying forces.

Gaza has turned into a place where death has become a daily event and where survival has become nearly impossible, and the silence there seemed more eloquent than any call for justice.

What granted Hamas's strategy of armed resistance its legitimacy among Palestinians was not the belief in violence itself, but the failure of all other alternatives.

Le Monde Diplomatique: This is how Europe colluded with Israel in the extermination of Gaza.

The French magazine Le Monde Diplomatique revealed many aspects of the complicity of several European countries with Israel in its war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, by directly supporting it militarily, politically, and in the media.

In an editorial titled "The Perpetrators and Their Partners," the French magazine stated in its October issue that European leaders cannot pretend they were unaware of the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza, which was accompanied by destruction, displacement, and starvation, resulting in the deaths of more than 65,000 people and injuries to 170,000 others, with 90% of the buildings in the strip destroyed.

Le Monde Diplomatique downplayed the significance of some European countries, including France and Britain, recognizing the State of Palestine, stating that European officials did nothing in the face of the massacres committed by Israel in Gaza when they were legally obligated to prevent genocide there.

The magazine noted that France's recognition of Palestine came very late and did not include any threat of imposing sanctions on Israel, avoiding the specification of the borders of the Palestinian state to be recognized.

In reality, the magazine observed that French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau ordered provincial governors to take systematic administrative measures against any council members who raise the Palestinian flag on the facade of their municipal building, just a few days after President Macron announced the recognition of the State of Palestine.

The magazine criticized President Macron, stating that he allowed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cross French airspace twice—in February and April 2025—despite an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Instead of working to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the magazine pointed out that the governments of France, Italy, Greece, and Belgium allowed ships carrying arms shipments directed to Israel to dock in their ports.

The French magazine indicated that the European Union has not taken any action in response to Israel's war in Gaza, while it is currently considering adopting the 19th sanctions package against Russia—just two months after the 18th package—to punish it for its invasion of Ukraine.

The magazine acknowledges that only America can force Israel to immediately stop its massacres in Gaza, as it only needs to halt arms shipments that make up the bulk of Israel's arsenal, but it believes that Europeans could have acted within their means to confront Israel, yet they did not.

In this regard, it pointed out that the European Union, as Israel's largest trading partner, its second-largest arms supplier, and one of the favorite tourist destinations for Israelis, could have suspended visa exemptions granted to Israelis, imposed individual sanctions on most of their officials, and enforced a ban on military equipment.

The European leaders, the magazine adds, could have suspended the partnership and free trade agreement between the EU and Israel, activating the second article that stipulates this in case one party violates principles of human rights and democracy.

According to Le Monde Diplomatique, since October 7, 2023, the EU has approved more than 130 such projects, in cooperation with the Israeli aerospace industries company—one of the largest arms manufacturers in the country—and the Weizmann Institute of Science overseeing the Israeli nuclear weapons program, and Ben-Gurion University, which coordinates with the Israeli Air Force flight school.

Politically, Le Monde Diplomatique states that Israel has received almost constant European political support since the beginning of its war on Gaza, as European officials rushed to align with the Israeli narrative, describing the October 7, 2023 attack as an "Islamic terrorist act and anti-Semitic."

European leaders, as the magazine points out, have consistently affirmed "Israel's right to defend itself," even when Iran attacked unilaterally and without prior warning in June 2025.

The French magazine noted that European officials maintained friendly relations with their Israeli counterparts, as Israeli President Isaac Herzog has been warmly received over the past two years at the Élysée Palace, in Hungary, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and the United Kingdom.

In contrast, Le Monde Diplomatique stated that European countries treat activists defending Palestinians who condemn the genocide in Gaza and demand respect for international law very differently.

It mentioned that authorities in France, Germany, and Italy prevented many peaceful demonstrations, as well as conferences and marches supporting Gaza, and summoned elected activists and officials accused of justifying the October 7 attacks, detaining and prosecuting them on charges of "tolerating terrorism."

Moreover, defenders of Palestine are subjected to defamation in Europe; since October 7, 2023, elected officials and activists from the "France Insoumise" movement have been accused of anti-Semitism almost daily in right

The death of a Palestinian prisoner after the deterioration of his health in Israeli prisons.

The Palestinian Authority for Prisoners' Affairs and the Prisoners' Club announced on Tuesday evening the death of a Palestinian prisoner in an Israeli hospital, following a deterioration in his health condition.

The prisoner Ahmad Hatim Muhammad Khudhayrat (22 years old) from the town of al-Dhahiriya in Hebron, died in Soroka Hospital in Israel after being held in administrative detention since May 23, 2024.

The Prisoners' Club warned last August of a serious deterioration in Khudhayrat's health, who was suffering from chronic diabetes and scabies, with his weight dropping to 40 kilograms.

Administrative detention is a military order by Israel to imprison without charges, and Khudhayrat is considered one of thousands of sick prisoners in Israeli jails.

A report from prisoner organizations indicated that 77 Palestinian prisoners have been martyred since the onset of the war on Gaza, amid increasing Israeli violations in the West Bank.

Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 67,173 Palestinians, with the humanitarian situation deteriorating at an unprecedented rate.

Three Israeli soldiers injured seriously in southern Gaza.

The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that 3 of its soldiers were injured in the Gaza Strip, including two with "serious injuries."

This comes as Tel Aviv has been continuing a genocide against the sector for two years, resulting in nearly 237,000 dead and wounded.

The army stated in a statement that "3 reserve soldiers were injured today as a result of a hand grenade explosion in the city of Khan Younis in the southern part of the sector."
