Reporters Without Borders confirmed that the situation is tragic for the press in Gaza, where “more than one journalist has been killed every day since October 7, noting that this huge number of deaths among media actors, among thousands of civilians, is rising day after day.” .

The organization recalled statements attributed to Jonathan Dagher, Director of the Middle East Bureau at Reporters Without Borders, in which he said: “The situation is tragic for the press in Gaza, where more than one journalist has been killed every day since October 7, knowing that this huge number of deaths are among the perpetrators.” Media professionals, among thousands of civilians, are on the rise day after day, as the Israeli army, through its raids, is continuing to effectively eliminate them one by one, while describing in unacceptable statements the extent of its blatant disregard for international humanitarian law, which it ignores. In this emergency situation, we immediately demand the protection of journalists in Gaza and the opportunity for foreign correspondents to enter the Strip and work there freely.”
