Netanyahu: Israel will assume “comprehensive security responsibility” in Gaza after the war
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday that the Hebrew state will assume “comprehensive security responsibility” in the Gaza Strip for an indefinite period after the war it is currently waging against the Hamas movement.
Netanyahu said in a television interview conducted with the American network ABC News that “Israel will assume, for an indefinite period, comprehensive security responsibility” in Gaza, considering that “when we do not assume this security responsibility, what we face is the outbreak of Hamas terrorism on a large scale.” We cannot imagine it,” according to what was reported by Agence France-Presse.
The Israeli Prime Minister announced that there will be no ceasefire in the Gaza Strip unless Hamas releases the hostages it has been holding for a month.
