Gaza Interior Ministry: One million and 600 thousand displaced people due to war on the Strip
The Ministry of Interior in the Gaza Strip announced, on Sunday, that more than 1,600,000 Palestinians have been displaced from their homes as a result of the Israeli war on the Strip, which has been ongoing since last October 7.
Iyad Al-Bazum, spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior in the Gaza Strip, said during a press conference in Gaza, “More than 1.6 million Palestinians were displaced from their homes as a result of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.”
The displaced are staying in shelters, including hospitals, schools, churches and health care centres.
Palestinian families in shelter centers lack the most basic necessities of life, in light of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
Al-Bazm continued: “Israeli army targets shelter centers and hospitals to displace the residents of Gaza City.”
He pointed out that "Israeli army has intensified its use of internationally banned white phosphorus bombs in the past two days."
