Netanyahu: We will not cease fire without the return of the kidnapped Israelis
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that there will be no ceasefire in Gaza without the return of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas in the Strip since last October 7.
“I want you to know that there is one thing we will not do: there will be no ceasefire without the return of our kidnappers,” Netanyahu said during a visit to Ramon Air Base.
He added, according to his office, in a written statement, “To both our enemies and our friends.
We will continue until we defeat them (Hamas). We have no alternative."
Last night, many Israelis demonstrated in front of Netanyahu's headquarters and demanded his resignation, blaming him for the failure of the occupation army in the face of the Palestinian resistance.
Some of them said that Netanyahu remaining in power poses a danger to Israel. It is noteworthy that on the seventh of last October, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades - the military arm of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - and other Palestinian resistance factions launched the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation against the occupation. The Israeli attack has so far killed more than 1,542 Israelis and injured 5,431 of them.
The Palestinian resistance also captured 240 Israelis, and announced that it wanted to exchange them for more than 6,000 prisoners in occupation prisons. Israel continues its aggression against Gaza, bombing homes, schools, hospitals, and mosques, which led to the martyrdom of more than 9,770 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in addition to wounding 24,000 and destroying neighborhoods. In its entirety and displacing most of the population.
For more than a week, Israel has been carrying out a ground operation in the besieged sector, but it has suffered painful losses at the hands of resistance elements, with more than 30 of its officers killed and 260 wounded evacuated from the field.
