Sick detainees face difficult and dangerous conditions in the Ramla prison clinic
The Prisoners and Ex-Detainees Affairs Authority reported that sick detainees in the Ramla prison clinic face difficult and dangerous conditions imposed on them by the Israeli occupation prison administration, since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on the seventh of last October.
The Commission explained, in its report on Sunday, that the procedures of the occupation prison administration aim to double the psychological and physical conditions of detainees, despite their urgent need for special medical care, as most of them suffer from chronic diseases.
It pointed out that the occupation’s measures included preventing prisoners from making phone calls to their families, prohibiting visits, and restricting visits from lawyers, as the occupation prison administration prevents lawyers from visiting sick detainees and learning about their conditions, and also withdrew all electrical appliances, including the television and the stove used for cooking, water heating kettle, radios and all electrical and electronic tools without exception.
It added that the occupation prevents sick detainees from purchasing from the cantina, and also withdraws the food supplies they have, leaving them with nothing left of food or drink.
