Netanyahu threatens Nasrallah: The mistake will cost you a price you cannot imagine
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday renewed his threat to the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, not to interfere in the ongoing war against the Gaza Strip, saying that “the mistake will cost you a price you cannot imagine.”
This came in a press conference by Netanyahu held in conjunction with a direct speech delivered by Nasrallah to announce his position on the ongoing developments in the Gaza Strip and the border confrontations between the Israeli army and members of Hezbollah.
Netanyahu said, "With regard to the north, I repeat and say to our enemy: Do not test us. The mistake will cost you dearly. The mistake will cost you a price that you cannot imagine."
In this context, Netanyahu renewed his rejection of a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip or allowing fuel to enter the Strip.
He added, "We continue with all our might, and we reject a temporary ceasefire that does not include the release of our hostages."
Netanyahu stressed that Israel does not allow the entry of fuel into the Gaza Strip and opposes the transfer of funds to the Strip.
In a related development, a spokesman for the National Security Council at the White House said on Friday that Hezbollah should not try to exploit the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, adding that the United States does not want to see the conflict extend to Lebanon.
Since the outbreak of the war against the Gaza Strip on October 7, Israel has on more than one occasion warned groups allied with Iran - especially Hezbollah - against interfering in the current confrontation between the Israeli army and the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.
Nasrallah's speech On the other hand, Nasrallah revealed in his speech on Friday that his party entered the battle a day after it began in Gaza, stressing that it would not be limited to what is happening on the border.
Nasrallah considered that the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation itself was the result of a 100% Palestinian decision and was hidden from everyone. He pointed out that the operation had become extended on more than one front and in more than one arena.
In conjunction with the Israeli war on Gaza since October 7, the Lebanese border has witnessed intermittent exchanges of fire between the Israeli army on the one hand and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand, which led to deaths and injuries on both sides.
For 28 days, the Israeli army has been waging a war on the Gaza Strip that has resulted in the death and injury of thousands of Palestinians - most of them civilians - and caused a catastrophic humanitarian situation, according to warnings issued by international institutions.
