Jordanian Foreign Ministry: Palestine officials and Arab ministers meet with Blinken in Amman on Saturday
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the foreign ministers of Jordan, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt, and the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, will hold a coordination meeting on Saturday in light of the efforts aimed at reaching an end to the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians, before they hold a meeting with the US Secretary of State, Anthony. Blinken, who is visiting Jordan.
Jordanian Foreign Ministry spokesman Sufyan Al-Qudah said, “Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Al-Safadi, the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization will hold a meeting tomorrow, Saturday.” A coordination meeting was held in the context of their efforts aimed at stopping the Israeli war on Gaza and the humanitarian catastrophe it is causing,” according to a Jordanian Foreign Ministry statement.
The judges confirmed that the ministers will hold “a joint meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, during which they will confirm the Arab position calling for an immediate ceasefire and the immediate and urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip.”
The ministers will discuss with the US Secretary of State “all the repercussions and ways to end this dangerous deterioration that threatens the security of the entire region,” according to the statement.
It is noteworthy that Blinken arrived in Jordan on Friday after a visit, which lasted a little more than 10 hours, to Israel.
