Israeli army arrests at least 65 Palestinian citizens from West Bank
Since October 7, about 1,900 arrests have been recorded
The occupation forces arrested at least 65 citizens of the West Bank last night and at dawn today, Thursday, including two women. The arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Hebron, while the rest of the arrests were distributed across the majority of the West Bank governorates, accompanied by systematic abuse operations against the detainees and their families. In addition to the constant threat, the policy of “collective punishment,” and the sabotage operations that targeted citizens’ homes.
Thus, the total number of arrest campaigns carried out by the occupation after the seventh of last October is about (1,900) arrest cases, and this number includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, and those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and to hold members of their families hostage.
It is worth mentioning that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent and systematic policies used by the occupation forces, with the aim of undermining any escalating situation of confrontation. They are also among the most prominent tools of the policy of (collective punishment), which also constitutes a central tool for the occupation in targeting citizens.
