Demonstrations and vigils in European countries denouncing the Israeli massacres in Gaza
Thousands participated in vigils and demonstrations in several European cities, denouncing the Israeli occupation’s continued massacres against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip, which claimed the lives of more than 10,000 martyrs and missing persons, and more than 20,000 wounded.
The Palestinian community in Belgium and Luxembourg organized a massive march towards the US embassy in Brussels, rejecting the ongoing Israeli aggression and denouncing the American position participating in the aggression, demanding the necessity of stopping the occupation’s massacres against civilians in the Gaza Strip and holding the occupation leaders accountable for the crimes they committed.
The Palestinian community in Sweden also organized a candle-lighting vigil on the campus of Çalmash University in Göteborg, and a number of Swedish universities, during which posters and leaflets were distributed in Swedish and English, explaining what the Palestinian people are facing in terms of organized terrorism and war crimes of the occupying state.
The participants demanded the cancellation of all forms of cooperation with Israeli universities and research institutes that have contact with the Israeli military industry, and urged officials to take immediate action to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, bring in humanitarian aid and provide protection for the civilian population.
The Italian capital, Rome, also witnessed a march denouncing the Israeli massacre against the Palestinian people in Gaza, where the participants considered these ongoing massacres to constitute a serious violation of international law and human values, demanding an immediate end to the Israeli aggression against our people.
