Report: North Korean leader orders support for the Palestinians

The American Wall Street Journal reported, on Wednesday, that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered support for the Palestinians, amid the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

The newspaper reported that this estimate came according to the intelligence agency of the neighboring country, South Korea.

South Korean intelligence says Kim Jong Un may also be considering selling weapons to armed groups in the Middle East.

This information was published by South Korean lawmakers after they received a briefing on this matter from representatives of the intelligence agency.

North Korea has sold Hamas anti-tank missile launchers in the past, and there is a possibility that it may try to export more weapons amid the war in Gaza, which has entered its 26th day, according to these officials.

The South Korean army said that, based on the published photos and videos of Hamas’s sudden and unprecedented attack on Israel on October 7, the movement used multiple North Korean weapons.

But North Korea denied the allegations and said it was "fake news."

North Korean official position

North Korea said days after the outbreak of the war that Israel bears responsibility for the outbreak of fighting and the casualties.

- It considered the United States to be a partner in the “Israeli genocide of the residents of the Gaza Strip.”

She described what happened at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza as “a heinous war crime and an unimaginable immoral crime.”

She denied using her weapons in the Hamas attack, and said that the reports in this regard were “an attempt by Washington to shift the blame for the conflict from it to a third country.”

She said that the way out to resolve the conflict is to establish an independent Palestinian state.
