Al-Sisi stressed the need to reach an immediate humanitarian truce, to strengthen Egyptian efforts with the United Nations and the active parties, led by the United States, to deliver humanitarian, medical and relief aid to the people of the Gaza Strip.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi confirmed that Cairo did not and will not allow the displacement of Palestinians from their lands to its lands, during a call he received from his American counterpart, Joe Biden, on Sunday evening, according to a statement by the Egyptian presidency.

The Egyptian presidency statement said that the two presidents discussed the overall security situation in the Middle East, the latest developments in the military escalation in the Gaza Strip, and the importance of preventing the expansion of the circle of conflict into the regional environment.

Since the beginning of the events in Gaza, the Egyptian authorities have repeatedly rejected the plan to displace the residents of Gaza to Egyptian territory, specifically Sinai adjacent to the Strip, in conjunction with official Israeli calls for them to displace.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that nearly 600,000 Palestinians were displaced inside Gaza and reside in 150 of its facilities.

For the 24th day in a row, the Israeli army is waging a war on Gaza in which 8,005 Palestinians were martyred, including 3,324 children, 2,062 women, and 460 elderly people, according to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip. On the other hand, Hamas killed more than 1,400 Israelis and wounded 5,132, according to the Israeli Ministry of Health.
