Israeli I24 TV said on Monday that the Red Cross is on its way to receive 50 dual nationals detained in the Gaza Strip.

He explained that the handover process would take place in the south of the Gaza Strip, noting that the Israeli army had not carried out any strikes during the past hours in the area “as part of the understandings in order to allow the Red Cross to reach the area in safety.”

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz had previously quoted a source “participating in the negotiations” that Hamas was considering releasing civilian detainees in exchange for fuel. The newspaper said that a source familiar with the negotiations to release the detainees said that it was possible for Hamas to release the detainees on Monday, but explained that this “has not been decided.”
