Former British Labor Party leader: “Do not forgive what is happening to Gaza”
Activists circulated on social media platforms a video clip of Jeremy Corbyn, a member of the British Parliament and leader of the opposition Labor Party, giving a speech of solidarity with the Palestinian people and denouncing the war on Gaza.
Corbyn appeared delivering a speech the day before yesterday, Sunday, in which he demanded an end to the occupation and bombing of Gaza and the achievement of a just and stable peace, stressing that depriving innocent people of basic life rights such as water and electricity is immoral, in addition to being illegal.
His speech said, "I say to every political leader in this country: Do not condone war crimes and the collective punishment of the Palestinian people. If you believe in international law and human rights, then you should not condone what is happening now in Gaza at the hands of the Israeli occupation army."
For the 11th day in a row, Israel continues its land, sea and air raids on the Gaza Strip, which led to the death of thousands, the destruction of entire neighborhoods and the displacement of residents.
Israel cut off water and electricity from the Strip and prevented humanitarian and medical aid from reaching those affected, amid warnings of an environmental and humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip, where about 2.2 million Palestinians live.
