A massive demonstration in Beirut in support of Palestine
Today, Friday, Lebanese parties, political forces, unions, youth organizations, and Palestinian national factions organized a massive demonstration in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, which started from Barbir Square and reached the United Nations House (ESCWA).
Former ministers and representatives, and leaders of Lebanese parties and Palestinian factions participated in the march.
The Secretary of the Fatah Movement and the PLO factions in Lebanon, Fathi Abu Ardat, called for strengthening Palestinian unity, appreciating the movements of the Arab and Islamic peoples in solidarity with the Palestinian people, and demanding an end to the aggression, the lifting of the siege, and an immediate end to the massacres.
He called for the murderous criminals represented by the Prime Minister of the occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his gang to be held accountable, and for them and those who support them to be brought to trial and justice, stressing the necessity of lifting the siege on Gaza, which today needs food, medicine, and all the necessities of life.
Many speeches were also made condemning international silence and double standards.
