The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz called for an exchange deal with the Palestinian resistance under which the prisons would be whitewashed.

The Hebrew newspaper said: “We must conclude a prison exchange and whitewash deal immediately, and Netanyahu must not try to save the honor of the army at the expense of Israeli children and infants.”

Haaretz added: "We must not wait or delay, as every second puts the lives of our prisoners in Gaza at risk. We must negotiate now and pay the price."

It continued: "We must pay every price required for a prisoner exchange deal without delay, and without imaginary maneuvers or cleverness from the most reckless government in the history of Israel."

The Palestinian resistance was able to capture dozens of soldiers and settlers while carrying out the first attack of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood last Saturday.
