Israel tightens military measures in the West Bank
Today, Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces continued to tighten their military measures in the West Bank governorates, for the fourth day in a row, by closing checkpoints and entrances to cities, towns and villages, and obstructing the movement of Palestinian citizens.
In Ramallah, the occupation forces continue to close the northern entrance to Al-Bireh in both directions, and the entrances to the villages and towns of: Kharbatha Bani Harith, Al-Nabi Saleh, Aboud, Umm Safa, and Atara in both directions, the Ofra checkpoint near Silwad, and the eastern entrances to Al-Mughayir and Burqa.
Meanwhile, these forces set up two checkpoints at the entrances to the village of Al-Mughair Al-Gharbi and Burqa Al-Rais, and impeded the movement of citizens there.
In Salfit, the occupation forces closed the iron gate at the entrance to the town of Kafr al-Dik to the west. They intensified their arbitrary measures against citizens, and impeded the movement of people leaving and entering the town, by closing the iron gate at the main entrance to the town.
At the Tayasir checkpoint, east of Tubas, the occupation forces tightened their military measures and allowed only citizens who live in the Jordan Valley to cross, causing a stifling traffic jam towards the Jordan Valley.
In Qalqilya, the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Kafr Laqif to the east, stopped vehicles, checked citizens’ cards, and interrogated them, which led to the obstruction of movement to and from the village.
