Extracting a decision to freeze demolition of homes in the Jordan Valley

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission and the Tubas Governorate issued a decision to freeze orders to demolish citizens’ homes in Khirbet Humsa al-Fawqa in the northern Jordan Valley.

Moataz Bisharat, the official responsible for the Jordan Valley file in Tubas Governorate, said that the Authority and Tubas Governorate obtained a decision yesterday to freeze orders to demolish the facilities, after submitting an appeal to the “Israeli Supreme Court”, which had previously rejected the petition of the residents of Humsa and allowed the demolition of their tents that they had built on their lands three years ago. .

He added that the court issued its decision to accept the request to freeze demolition orders until further notice.

It is noteworthy that Khirbet Humsa al-Fawqa was subjected three years ago to widespread demolition operations by the occupation forces, affecting all of its residential facilities, and its residents are facing forced displacement attempts from the area.
