Occupation court postpones the hearing of prisoner Ahmed Manasra

Today, Wednesday, the Israeli court in Ramla prison decided to hold a special session to reconsider the order to renew the isolation of prisoner Ahmed Manasra, until September 20.

According to lawyer Khaled Zabarqa, the Israeli court in “Ramla” prison decided to postpone the special session to consider again the matter of renewing the isolation of prisoner Ahmed Manasra until September 20 of this month.

Zabarqa explained that the session was held in the presence of the defense team for his case, and alongside him were lawyers Nariman Al-Zoubi and Uday Mansour from Adalah, as well as in the presence of his family, the Physicians for Human Rights Foundation, and representatives of foreign consulates and embassies.

At the beginning of the session, the defense team was informed that Ahmed could not be brought to the session, and after demands and insistence from the defense team that he attend, Ahmed was later brought.

According to lawyer Zabarqa, Ahmed’s health and psychological condition is getting worse and worse compared to previous months.

Zabarqa stressed that continuing to detain Ahmed in solitary confinement is a crime, and demanded that the utmost efforts be made to rescue and release him.

It is noteworthy that the occupation prison administration has continued to isolate prisoner Manasra for nearly two years in harsh and difficult conditions, despite the serious health condition he has suffered and the legal efforts that have been made over the past period to obtain his release.
