Netanyahu refused tightening conditions of Palestinian detainees

On Sunday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu renewed his position of rejecting tightening the conditions of detention of Palestinian prisoners, fearing any escalation inside and outside it.

According to the Hebrew Channel 7, Netanyahu informed the Minister of the so-called extremist National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, of his position, during a meeting held between them to discuss the issue.

The meeting was held prior to an expanded meeting in the presence of Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant, and senior officers from the army, security, Shin Bet, and the Prison Service, to discuss the issue.

Netanyahu said in statements a few days ago that everything published in press reports about Ben Gvir’s decision to tighten measures against Palestinian prisoners was incorrect, which was denied by Ben Gvir, who entered into a public controversy in front of Netanyahu.
