The Zionist Movement and the Palestinian National Movement in the New World Order

The international system recognized in the field of political science and international relations is witnessing a unipolar system in a state of radical transformation, which began in 2008, the year that witnessed the collapse of the US real estate market, which in turn produced the global financial crisis in 2009, as it also produced in the same context and in an inconclusive manner. There is no indication of a state of chaos in the Middle East that began in 2011 with the outbreak of the wave of what was known as the Arab Spring or the blood decade.

And while the Russian-Atlantic war that broke out more than a year and a half ago on the territory of Ukraine accelerated the pace of this transformation, the old “unipolar system” did not completely fall and disappear, and it faces a decisive decade according to Biden’s national security strategy that he published in October 2022. In the foreword, it was mentioned that the intense competition for leadership of the global system between Washington and its partners on the one hand, and China and its allies on the other hand, may turn into a fierce conflict.

Likewise, the desired (multi-polar) system has not yet stood on its feet, although its foundations seem to be getting more and more solid, especially since there is almost a consensus among all the components and individuals of the international system, that the desired new system will certainly be more just and more capable of achieving stability, peace and security for the world. The specifications and goals that the unipolar system has not succeeded in achieving since the United States dominated it in the wake of the end of the Cold War in 1991, which was clearly evident in the final statement of the last BRICS summit that took place in Johannesburg on 8/24/2023.

As for the regional system in the Middle East, which was established after World War II, and became an exclusive American sphere of influence after the end of the Cold War, it did not collapse completely, and on the other hand, it is witnessing a new formation in which new powers and players emerge, and it is no longer a secret to any of the observers that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is The most prominent of these players is absolutely due to its religious and economic status, and most importantly because it has stayed away from targeting the Arab Spring, which weakened traditional players in the region.

It seems here that the main powers in the Middle East, which is considered the center of the Arab world and the heart of the Islamic world (both Sunni and Shiite), seek that the Middle East not be an arena in which its regional powers engage to play the role of agents in competition that may turn into a heated struggle between the great powers, as was the case. During the Cold War, which witnessed the declaration of the establishment of Israel in the region in 1948, and the Palestinian Nakba, which is considered a continuous crime. It also witnessed more than ten fierce wars between Israel on the one hand and the regular armies of the Arab countries neighboring Palestine on the other hand, in addition to witnessing the outbreak of two major Palestinian uprisings. Against the Zionist occupation of Palestine, and most importantly, it witnessed the birth of the Palestinian national movement represented by the Palestine Liberation Organization.

It was remarkable in this regard that the Arab countries had announced through their leaders, which was reflected in the full statement of the Arab summit that was held in Jeddah in May of this year, that the Middle East will not be a tail zone in the global system that has come a long way in formation, and in exchange for Therefore, these countries, along with other major (Islamic) forces in the region, see that the region possesses natural, human and cultural resources that qualify it to be an active pole in the new international order.

In this regard, the well-known Russian thinker and philosopher (Alexander Dugin) wrote in an article titled (Seven-Polar World) in which he reads the meanings and implications of the BRICS summit and its results, published by the (Russia Geopolitical) website on 8/30/2023, explaining that the new world order It will be made up of seven cultures and civilizations: the West, which includes the European Union, the United States of America, China, India, Russia, Africa, Latin America, and the Islamic world in its two editions (Sunni and Shiite).

Dugin added in his article that by announcing the accession of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt and the UAE to the BRICS group, the building on which the new world order will be has been completed, which means that the West, which has dominated the global system since the end of World War II, will not be able to continue to dominate the world. The rest of the civilizations and cultures of human society.

And since there is a close relationship between the (successes) of the Western Zionist colonial project in Palestine and the transformations of the international system, the foregoing shows that the strategic environment surrounding both the Zionist movement (Israel) and the Palestinian national movement (PLO) is different from the strategic environment that surrounded them during The previous three times of the transformations of the international system, it is legitimate to ask, will the new system do justice to the Palestinians and lift the injustice that resulted from its previous transformations? Will it provide the Palestinians with international protection and prevent a new catastrophe against them that the current government of Israel threatens day and night? Will Netanyahu be allowed to revive the idea of a Palestinian state, as he recently stated? Will he allow Netanyahu, along with Smotrich and Ben Gvir, to resolve the conflict with the Palestinians and complete the creation of the State of Israel as an exclusively Jewish state in the region?

While the closing statement of the BRICS summit provided theoretical answers to some of these questions, as it expressed the group's adherence to the two-state solution and the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state, and called on the international community to support direct negotiations on the basis of international law, including the resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations, as well as the peace initiative. He also expressed the group's concern about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Palestine resulting from the escalation of violence in light of the ongoing occupation and the expansion of illegal settlements. However, the question of questions remains whether the new regime will continue to turn a blind eye to Israel's crimes against the Palestinians, especially after it has been proven to be a separate state. Racist (apartheid) must be punished? Will the new regime force Israel to abide by international legitimacy and its resolutions? Will he force her to implement these decisions?

On the other hand, will the Palestinians succeed in investing in the opportunities provided to them this time by the transformations of the international system? Will they succeed in preventing the Zionist movement, with its neo-Zionist nature, from completing the implementation of its settlement-colonial project in Palestine, which has been proven to have failed on the ground so far? And what should they do to push the new regime to elevate its rhetoric to the level of actions? Especially since the new international order will not be more royal than the king!

In fact, the Palestinians have no choice but to succeed, because lack of success simply means that the Palestinians will remain under occupation for decades to come, awaiting another new transformation in the international system, and most importantly, success requires belief in the ability to achieve success, and this requires defining the meaning of success first, and then developing indicators to measure it second. Finally, knowing who are among the Palestinians who are destined to raise the banner of victory and success at this moment in time, and where should they be positioned in this stormy sea with choppy waves? And what are the decisive weapons that they must possess that guarantee them the achievement of a resounding victory? What is the decisive battlefield of the conflict in which they have to invest most of their resources and energies? What is their speech to the Palestinian people, who have the right to know what is happening and why? Then what is their speech to the Arab and Islamic nations, and behind them the international community, especially the Jewish communities, whether those supporting racist Israel and apartheid, or demanding its overthrow as an apartheid and apartheid state?
