Finland provides two million euros to hospitals in occupied Jerusalem

Finland provided 2 million euros to the Palestinian government to support hospitals in occupied Jerusalem.

The money was transferred through the European Union's direct financial support program, the PEGASE Mechanism.

"Al-Quds hospitals serve Palestinian patients from East Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank with specialized, life-saving and high-quality health care," said Finland's Ambassador to Palestine Päivi Peltokoski.

"There is an urgent need for a long-term solution to the ongoing funding challenges for hospitals, and the financial support provided by Finland, along with the European Union, through PEGASE, helps keep these vital services running for Palestinian families," he added.
