A Palestinian security official on Tuesday played down claims in Israeli media that the Palestinian Authority has continued security coordination with Israel. 

Calling for unity following the army's lethal raid on Jenin, the source said that the statement by Israeli security officials was intended to sew confusion between Palestinians, and is part of a concerted campaign against the PA and its security services. 

On Monday night, the Palestinian leadership said it has suspended all contact with Israel, including security coordination.

President Mahmoud Abbas has previously halted security coordination with Israel during periods on conflict.
