The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the storming of the Palestinian embassy and the residence of the ambassador in Khartoum
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned, on Tuesday, the storming of what it described as "armed gangs and groups" at the Embassy of the State of Palestine and the ambassador's residence in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, for the fourth and third time, respectively, since the start of the clashes.
The ministry said in a statement that these groups break down doors, vandalize belongings, and beat local employees and embassy staff, in addition to stealing funds related to the embassy's budget and needs.
The Ministry considered these incursions and encroachments a gross violation of the sovereignty of the State of Palestine and an assault on its official headquarters and a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention, noting that it will carry out the necessary legal follow-ups to protect the embassy and the residence of the ambassador and their employees.
