Ghanem: Financial aid has become marginal in supporting the public treasury
Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Amjad Ghanem, said today, Sunday, that "financial aid has become marginal in supporting the public treasury."
Ghanem stressed during a speech at a workshop entitled "Prospects of Cooperation with Civil Society Organizations" that this does not include international aid for development projects and development, including provided to civil society institutions estimated at about $350 million annually. Ghanem stressed that the government will continue to work with the capabilities and tools available to it to maintain the best possible level of performance to operate government institutions and departments, and provide the best services to citizens.
He said: "Partnership with the community and the private sector is one of the components of society's immunity, and this partnership is one of the components of the government reform programs, which focus in its content on fundamental issues of priority to serve the citizen, and to advance government service, and this partnership is based on creating a balanced work environment that seeks to achieve economic and development goals.
He added: "Achieving sustainable development can only be achieved by providing real opportunities in the public and private sectors, and civil society alike, and we believe that this is the basis for good governance that we seek to enhance its sustainability, and the three joints of society: government, the private sector and civil society, and when they are integrated With each other, they form a real immunity to confront the occupation and to survive and stand firm in our homeland.”
And Ghanem added, "We made great efforts in legislation and issued the Companies and Communications Law, the State Property Management Law, the National Mechanism for Prevention of Torture Law, the Government Electronic Services Law, the General Petroleum Corporation Law, and the Law of Preserving and Investing State Lands, Properties, and These Laws are being applied from In order to improve the work environment, increase the level of efficiency and effectiveness, and strengthen the partnership between all segments of Palestinian society.
He said, "There are many reforms in all social aspects, such as a decree by law specifying the age of marriage, the mother's right to manage the affairs of her children, raising and applying the minimum wage from 1450 to 1880 in the public and private sectors, and to take care of young people, and to enhance job opportunities after graduation, a university was established Nablus for vocational and technical training to enhance opportunities and find job opportunities.
Ghanem emphasized that the Cabinet focused on enhancing the participation of civil society in discussing national issues, including the Standing Committee for harmonizing legislation in Palestine with international treaties and covenants, as well as international events such as the twenty-seventh Conference of the Parties to the Climate Change Convention, and activating its participation in the social protection system and economic empowerment of poor families.
