Thousands participate in the 26th return march in the lands of the displaced village of Lajoun
Thousands of Palestinians from the 1948 lands participated in the 26th return march held this year in the lands of the depopulated village of Lajoun.
The participants in the march raised Palestinian flags and banners bearing the names of the displaced Palestinian villages and the captive Walid Daqqa, son of the western city of Baqa, in addition to shouting slogans calling for freedom and the right of return.
The march started near the main Wadi Ara Street, reaching the depth of the displaced village of Lajoun.
In conjunction with the return march, Palestinian organizations and movements, along with a number of displaced Palestinians from their villages who remained in the lands of 1948, organized marches and events in several displaced villages in the country.
A number of the people of the displaced villages in the Galilee region visited their villages from which they were expelled in the year of the Nakba 1948, including Hittin, Meyar, Al-Damoon, and Al-Ghabisiyya.
In the context, the Association for the Defense of the Rights of the Displaced, in coordination with the Higher Follow-up Committee for the Arab Masses, the People's Committee, and popular circles in Umm al-Fahm announced the program of the 26th return march.
