Today, Sunday, the Israeli government will request the cancellation of the petition submitted to the Supreme Court demanding the evacuation of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar , east of occupied Jerusalem.

According to the Hebrew website Ynet, the government reversed its decision under the pretext that it was negotiating with the residents of the Bedouin neighborhood to reach an agreement to find an alternative place.

The site said that the Israeli government will use this argument, which failed years ago, to use it again in an attempt to completely invalidate the petition, especially as it used it previously due to the potential political and security repercussions of the crisis.

Last February, the court gave the Israeli government a final deadline to submit its final response to the petition, warning that it would consider accepting the petition and ordering the evacuation of the village.
