Jordan announces that a missile exploded in the air and landed near the border with Syria without damage
The Jordanian army announced in a statement that a missile exploded on Saturday night in the air, and its fragments fell in the north of the kingdom, in an area adjacent to the Syrian border, without causing injuries or damage.
The statement quoted an official military source as saying, "At exactly 22:25 (19:25 GMT) on Saturday evening, a missile exploded in the air in the Wadi Aqraba area adjacent to the Syrian border, which led to its fragments falling in the same area."
The same source confirmed that "the fall of the shrapnel did not cause any harm to lives or property," noting that "the specialized teams from the Royal Engineering Corps are dealing with the accident site to reveal any other details."
"The Jordanian armed forces are continuing to monitor any developments in the situation in the region," he added.
The Israeli army announced that missiles were launched on Saturday night from Syria. In a brief statement, he said that two missiles "fell in an empty land in the Golan Heights," which was annexed by the Hebrew state, and that the Israeli air defense system intercepted at least one missile, without giving further details.
Later, the Israeli army announced that it had launched a bombing raid on Syria after firing missiles at the Golan Heights, which was annexed by the Hebrew state.
