The Israeli government doubles the budget for monitoring Palestinian construction in Area C.

The Israeli government intends to double the budget allocated to settlers who monitor Palestinian construction in Area C, according to the Oslo Accords.


And according to the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz, the Ministry of Settlements will allocate 40 million shekels to the local and regional settlement councils, instead of 20 that were allocated in the past during the Bennett-Lapid government, for this step that contributes to the demolition of Palestinian homes, indicating that the amount will be disbursed only after approval. On the general budget in the Knesset, which was approved in a first reading.


The Department of Lands in the settlements has been working for years to monitor Palestinian land and land cultivation, and submits its reports to the Civil Administration and the Israeli army.


Drones, tablets, and vehicles are used in monitoring operations.


In recent years, the Civil Administration has also run a hotline calling on settlers to report Palestinian construction work, as part of a strategic plan aimed at uprooting Palestinians from Area C.
