Netanyahu and Galant confirm the continuation of the attacks to prevent the transfer of Iranian weapons to Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant confirmed, on Monday evening, that their forces will continue their attacks on several fronts to prevent the transfer of Iranian weapons to Syria, Lebanon, Gaza and even the West Bank.
Netanyahu said in a speech during a ceremony held at the Tel Nof military air base, that his forces are working outside their borders against anyone who supports "terrorism" and plans to destroy Israel. According to him, referring to the recent strikes in Syria.
Netanyahu, who appeared for the first time alongside Gallant since announcing his dismissal, which has not yet taken effect, stressed the need to keep the Israeli army out of political differences, adding: "We need to preserve our unity and our ability to defend ourselves against those who seek to destroy our lives." According to him.
For his part, Gallant accused Iran, which he described as an "octopus", of seeking to transfer weapons constantly to Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and the West Bank.
He said, "We have a strong and high-quality army that works day and night on all fronts. The threats against us are great threats, coming from one source - Iran, which sends its octopus weapons to Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, and the West Bank, and is trying to recruit civilians from Israel."
He stressed the need for the Israeli army to confront these threats with force and in a unified manner.
These statements come after a time when the Israeli army confirmed that the plane it shot down yesterday north of Tiberias was Iranian-made.
