Bethlehem - "Jerusalem" dot com - Najeeb Farraj - The Israeli occupation forces isolated the prisoner, Shadi Issa Maali (44 years), from the Dheisheh refugee camp, in a solitary cell in the Negev desert prison, as part of the continuous pursuit of family members to pressure his son Jad to hand over Himself.


The story of the young man, Jad (20 years), goes back to about a month and a half ago, when the occupation forces raided his family’s house in the camp, destroyed its contents, and tried to arrest him, but they did not find him in the house, so they arrested his grandfather and uncle Jihad to pressure him to turn himself in, and after hours they were released under clear threat. That if Gad did not turn himself in, they would find him murdered.


A week later, the occupation soldiers stormed the house again, repeating their act of vandalizing the house, arresting his uncle Omran and detaining him for hours, threatening him similarly, before storming him again and arresting his two brothers Jihad and Maali, then his other brother Alaa after being kidnapped by a special force from his workplace.


Jad's family received many phone calls from the occupation intelligence officers, who constantly threatened the family, amid other measures, including throwing leaflets warning camp residents against providing assistance to Jad and his companion Laith al-Atrash.


According to Maali’s family, these procedures reached the conclusion that the occupation forces isolated the prisoner Shadi in the cell, by a decision of the Israeli intelligence, and there has been no news of him from the family since Eid al-Adha, as the family is prevented from visiting him or obtaining any information about him, as a form of pressure that is masterful. It has the occupying forces.


And when the four brothers of Shadi were arrested, six of them became imprisoned, in addition to Shadi and Muhammad, who was arrested about 20 years ago, and was sentenced to life imprisonment for 21 times, on charges of belonging to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. As for Shadi, who has been in administrative detention for more than 20 months, he previously He has spent about 18 years in prison, half of which is under administrative detention, claiming that he is one of the cadres of the Popular Front, and the arresting forces target him for continuous prosecution at frequent intervals.


Shadi was arrested four times in ambushes set up by the Special Units, disguised as civilians, in more than one location and place in Bethlehem Governorate.
