The Israeli army and the illusion of military ethics and the lie of the purity of their weapons

Written by: Prisoner Hamada Dramneh

The concept of military ethics usually raises a wide intellectual debate among thinkers and researchers, as some people do not agree with the illogical link between the destructive military machine and morals, so how can the army, with its deadly operations, have morals?! The term military ethics has a strange association with another term, which is the purity of weapons. Here, too, the same question comes back to mind: How can a deadly and destructive weapon be pure?!

The field of dealing with the term "ethics of the army" and the purity of its weapons has been developed. To include soldiers in situations that confront them as individuals or groups, and how do they use the military decision? And in what form will they implement it? And what are its results?! What is meant in the general sense of the concept of purity of arms is the restrained use of weapons, without causing unnecessary injuries to human life or what is related to it when executing tasks, and preserving the sanctity of human life. The purity of arms comes first through the availability of military ethics.

Although the issue of purity of arms and military ethics is marred by an atmosphere of silence and concealment, this issue has always been a subject of great interest to researchers and thinkers in the case of the Israeli army. In addition to that, political confusion and questions about issues and massacres committed by many Zionist gangs and the Israeli army against Arabs and Palestinians a lot.

If we go back in history to the year 1948, when the Palestinians were displaced and uprooted from their homes at gunpoint; We will find that this destruction and displacement falls within the immoral and inhumane space. Studies carried out by a number of historians - including Israelis - such as Ilan Pappe have proven that what the Israelis did, whether with their organizations or their regular army, was not within the limits of purity of arms and restraint, and this The opposite of what the Zionist novels and literature are trying to show by highlighting the personality of the Israeli warrior through the terms of self-restraint and purity of arms as a soldier different from the barbaric and bloodthirsty Arab who is quick to anger.

It is worth noting that the Zionist organizations, and later the Israeli army, occupied the Palestinian land in 1948 and the years that followed, and this could not have been accomplished except by force of arms, and with successive acts of military violence against the Palestinians by frightening them of the tyranny of the Jews, and spreading terror and panic in them, and he expressed Many Zionist leaders and their soldiers expressed their love for weapons, in such a way that the reader can notice the lack of purity of weapons and lack of self-restraint. In this, one of the soldiers is a member of the Givati Brigade of the Israeli army who participated in the continuous crimes committed against the Palestinians in 1948. He is Isaac Ondak, who He told Haaretz in 2004 of the massacres that had taken place: "There were two hundred villages and they were all wiped out. They had to be destroyed, otherwise we would have had Arabs here like in the Galilee, and we would have had a million more Palestinians."

The list of massacres carried out by the Israeli army against the Palestinians is long, and it is possible to go back to it and study it and learn about these crimes committed by looting, looting and killing, in addition to displacement. This behavior practiced by the Israeli soldier was not an individual act or far from the eyes of the Israeli military and political leadership. Discussing this in his private house in the year 1947 until the declaration of the state - all the plans that must be implemented, which include committing many crimes and massacres against the Palestinian people and their property, which would not have taken place except with a green light from him and his advisory body.

It should be noted that this advisory body, which was formed by Ben-Gurion, had the purpose of conspiring and planning to expel the Palestinians, through the Zionist military organizations that were formed and were the nucleus of the Israeli army that was formed in 1948. The list of these advisors included the highest-ranking officers in the Israeli army, such as Moshe Dayan. And Yitzhak Rabin.

In this context, we explain the immoral behavior towards the Palestinians by the Israeli army. The Israeli soldier does not feel remorse towards the hundreds of thousands of expelled, displaced, and murdered Palestinians, because he was brought up on the belief that what he is carrying out is a military goal that will lead to the establishment of the Jewish state, killing, displacement, demolishing homes, and emptying The population will preserve the borders of that state, and thus he will keep it pure and pure, and in the end he will appear as a hero, and he will be rewarded and deserve a new medal, even if it is stained with the blood of the innocent.

After 1967, the Israeli army felt the euphoria of victory, which in turn deepened its warlike spirit. Violence in all its forms became an inherent routine among the soldiers. According to this spirit, all the soldiers of the Israeli army, including its commanders, units, and divisions, carry out their military tasks in the field. This aggressive warlike spirit appeared to represent This behavior of the Israeli soldier, when the stone uprising broke out on (December 9, 1987), when among the orders issued by Yitzhak Rabin to the Israeli army soldiers was to "hit them" and "break their bones". 43,355 injuries were recorded, including shooting Rubber bullets were fired at residents of villages, cities, and camps in the first half of the first year of the Intifada. Forty thousand cases of arrest were also carried out, and seventy leaders were exiled, in addition to the implementation of administrative rulings for mayors and local councils without filing indictments against them.

The Israeli occupation army used organized terrorism in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, through special units of the army - not the undercover ones - storming the villages, expelling the residents and killing them. These units hunted their victims without trying to arrest them, according to human rights reports; The Arabists killed more than 110 Palestinians from the beginning of the first intifada until November 1992.

This aggressiveness and lack of restraint continued in the Israeli army when, in 1996, it bombed more than 300 villages and cities in southern Lebanon, in a battle that bore the name "The Grapes of Wrath". Where this army displaced 400 thousand citizens who fled to the north towards Beirut, killed more than 200 civilians, and destroyed more than 200 homes, all this in addition to the Israeli army soldiers on (April 18) of the same year bombing the village of Qana, killing 104 citizens, including 19 a boy and a girl.

It seems that the Israeli society then fell into the arms of Sharon from the beginning of the second Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000, which indicated the continued adherence to the approach of racism, oppression and brutality to implement the project through which the military and political leadership in Israel is delusional to restore the elements of stability and safety for the Jew. who bore the name of Sharon; It is the covert scheme working to liquidate the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people by killing, uprooting and deporting. This criminal policy was applied and implemented by the military arms of the Israeli army when it targeted the child Muhammad al-Durra in full view of the world, and when it once again killed the infant Iman Hajjo in the Al-Aqsa Intifada.

Despite what we hear now in the media about the opposition of the Israeli parties to each other in the formation of the Knesset, or that there will be new elections or the continuation of the current situation, there is one basic position that all Zionists from the right and the left unanimously agree on, which is the liquidation of the Palestinian people without exception, which is what It confirms the killing of journalist Sherine Abu Aqleh, who was not spared by the Israeli army's bullets. Sherine, who was killed with the same weapon that they claim to be pure! This weapon has been contaminated with the blood of the Palestinian people since 1948 until the present day.

We note here, dear reader, that, while writing this article, the Israeli occupation soldiers, at the entrance to Al-Arroub camp, north of Hebron, executed the young journalist Ghufran Warasneh (31 years old) in cold blood, so that this army recorded a new crime in its list of crimes against humanity.

These crimes, massacres and assassinations that the Israeli army carried out - and are still carrying out - are evidence of the denial of the concept of its military ethics and the purity of its weapons. This requires setting up mechanisms and deriving professional, legal, and media means to expose and expose this army, which boasts of its military ethics and the purity of its weapons. Many are the aggressive practices that were committed against the Palestinian people, including killing, demolishing homes, confiscating lands, and expanding settlements. In the hands of this army, the time has come for its officers to be introduced. And its soldiers are subject to international trials for these crimes, as they are war crimes against humanity that necessitate considering this army an extremist terrorist army, and their army is nothing but heresies and propaganda, a delusion lived by the Israeli military establishment and its security arms.
