At the end of its weekly session today, Monday, the Council approved the start of regular face-to-face education in higher education institutions with the beginning of the next academic year 2021/2022, and allowing fourth-year students to enroll in face-to-face university education for the summer semester.
The Council also instructed government departments to provide all medical and relief needs and supplies to institutions and citizens to support their steadfastness in the face of the brutal aggression inflicted on them by the occupation, and to make the necessary arrangements to send a medical delegation to the southern governorates to join the front ranks in treating our brave wounded, and to supply medical centers and clinics in remote and remote areas. With medical staff and supplies, especially the centers near the points of confrontation with the occupation forces.
The Council decided to coordinate with international bodies to transfer the value of the financial aid provided to the public treasury towards supporting those affected by the aggression on Gaza. He approved the operation of vocational training centers affiliated with the Ministry of Labor after official working hours. It approved terms of reference for conducting an international study on government human resources management.
The Council heard a report on the diplomatic efforts exerted to stop the aggressive war against our people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, especially the city of Jerusalem, and the broad state of solidarity of the peoples and governments of the world, which was expressed by the words of the delegates of those countries, during which they condemned the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
The Council also listened to a report on the medical and relief aid that the Ministry of Health and all relevant ministries will send to the Gaza Strip, and the ongoing arrangements to send medical personnel to provide treatment for the war-wounded who are overwhelmed by hospitals in the Strip.
The Council decided to harness all capabilities and assistance to alleviate the suffering of our people in the Strip, as the Prime Minister instructed all ministries to quickly provide relief aid to those displaced from their homes by the aggressive war.
The Prime Minister instructed the Minister of Local Government to provide all the municipalities’ needs through the Local Authorities Development and Lending Fund, and to work immediately to provide all operating expenses for those municipalities, especially the supply of mechanisms that remove rubble with diesel, and all maintenance requirements for drinking water and sewage pipes, as well as all transportation expenses. Waste.
The Council of Ministers decided to allow face-to-face education for fourth-year students in universities during the next summer semester, while maintaining the instructions for regular working hours, as is the case in the current semester, while ensuring adherence to preventive measures in accordance with the Ministry of Health protocol.
The council also decided to return to face-to-face education for universities during the new academic year, which will begin next November, in light of the continued provision of vaccinations to educational staff in schools and universities.
The Council expressed its appreciation for the statement issued by the national and Islamic forces announcing the comprehensive strike tomorrow, as an expression of anger at what our people throughout the country, especially the southern governorates, are exposed to from an aggressive war, stressing the participation of public sector employees in the strike scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, with the continuation of the work of the Ministry of Health, local bodies and institutions. The Prime Minister had described the war waged by Israel against our people in the West Bank as a genocide that was broadcast live, during which homes were demolished on the heads of their inhabitants of women, children and the elderly, stressing at the same time that Israel cannot maintain security and occupation at the same time. He called on the United Nations to issue a resolution declaring the illegality of all the actions of the Israeli occupation state against our land and people, and that there be punitive measures against it.
The Prime Minister said at the beginning of the weekly cabinet meeting held in Ramallah today, Monday, that it is no longer enough to issue statements of denunciation and denunciation of these crimes against our people, and that friendly countries should summon their ambassadors in Israel for consultations, at least, as an expression of their rejection of the continued Israeli aggression. On the Gaza Strip, and preventing any Israeli from entering any Arab country, except for stopping any commercial deals with Israel, and linking any international assistance to it, especially from the United States and Europe, to Israel's respect for human rights.
He added: “Entire families exterminated and demolished their homes over the heads of their occupants as a result of the brutal raids that distributed death, terror, destruction and body parts in the wreckage of demolished buildings and destroyed streets, and these bloody scenes and pictures of children whose clothes dripping with blood died before they saw it, and it is one of the greatest crimes that are punishable.” international law".
He pointed out that there are programmed crimes that are broadcast live, and no one in the world can say that he has not seen or heard, and the International Criminal Court sees and hears, and it must expedite its procedures, stressing that every day in which the cessation of aggression is delayed means renewal of the license to kill that it carries out. He explained that all ministries were asked, and under the direction of President Mahmoud Abbas, to expedite the provision of medical and relief supplies to our people in the Strip, and we are working with our Egyptian brothers and international humanitarian organizations to secure their entry immediately, and our contacts with our Egyptian and Jordanian brothers included facilitating transit procedures for any aid destined for the Strip, With arrangements to open the Rafah crossing, especially to treat the wounded.
He pointed out that “today, a shipment of medicines, equipment and medical supplies that our people and medical staff requested in Gaza is being prepared, and a thousand units of blood donated by our people will be sent here, and a medical delegation of specialists will be sent to help preserve the lives of our people there, and UNRWA has been contacted And the operation of the Palestinian refugees “UNRWA”, to find out the needs of shelters for those whose homes were demolished.
And the Prime Minister added: We follow what is happening every moment, and we call on the international community to intervene to stop the aggression, but Israel has not responded to anyone until this moment.
He also addressed the youth’s outreach in support of our people in the city of Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip against the policies of killing, displacement, ethnic cleansing, attacks on Al-Aqsa and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and insulting taboos, as “most of the speakers in the Security Council condemned it, which we called for its convening for the second time, in order to stop the aggression immediately.” .
The Prime Minister welcomed the fair words in the session, which were said against Palestine, expressing his regret at the Council's failure to reach a unified position condemning the attacks and stopping them immediately.
In this regard, the Prime Minister said: We will go to the General Assembly to issue this decision, as no one has the right to veto there, and there will be a Quartet meeting today for the second time at the level of delegates, and another meeting of European foreign ministers to discuss the aggression against Palestine.
The Prime Minister saluted the peoples who rose up in the Arab and international capitals in solidarity with our people against the aggression, and said: The message of this global solidarity is one, which is that the Palestinian issue is present in the minds and hearts of the world, peoples and governments, and that today it once again tops the list of priorities of global political and diplomatic activity. And that Palestine is the center of conflict, the heart of peace and the heart of war.
And he continued: Israel cannot combine its occupation and its crimes against us with obtaining free peace and security, and on the 73rd anniversary of the Nakba, it becomes clear every day that the world must present a political project for a solution based on international legitimacy and international law in order to end the occupation and establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital and right Return of the refugees.
The Prime Minister concluded his speech by saying: Today, our people embody a complete unity of geography, identity, and the unity of pain and suffering, and despite the occupation's attempts to obliterate identity and falsify history, we will defeat this injustice that will not last.
