The occupation decides to compensate the family of the elderly martyr, Asaad, to close the case
Translation by "Jerusalem" dot com - The Hebrew channel Reshet Kan reported, on Friday evening, that the Israeli Ministry of Defense will compensate the family of the elderly martyr Omar Asaad (80 years), who was martyred after being arrested at night during a flying checkpoint set up during a military operation in the village of Jaljalia, north of Ramallah, in January of this year.
According to the Hebrew channel, the ministry will pay 500,000 shekels (half a million shekels) to end the case.
It seems that this decision comes in light of the American pressure exerted on the Israeli government after the martyrdom of Asaad, who possesses American citizenship.
