Lawyers continue their protest activities and suspend work before the courts tomorrow, Tuesday

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Palestinian Bar Association has been continuing its protest activities for about three weeks, refusing to enforce decisions by laws amending procedural laws and the implementation law, while stressing the suspension of work before all courts in the West Bank, tomorrow, Tuesday, as a continuation of its protests.


And the Syndicate confirmed, in a press statement, this evening, Monday, the suspension of comprehensive work before all courts of all kinds and their regular, military and administrative degrees, settlement courts and the Supreme Court, and of different degrees and types of courts, throughout tomorrow, Tuesday, including the civil, administrative and military prosecutions affiliated to them, with the exception of notarial documents and applications. Urgent orders, recovery of detention orders, releases, and what is related to legal periods.


The Bar Association confirmed the central sit-in in front of the Jenin First Instance and Reconciliation Court, the day after tomorrow, Wednesday, from eleven in the morning.


The Syndicate Council called on all national, popular and syndicate activities and citizens in Jenin to participate extensively in the sit-in and the peaceful march.


According to the statement, the Bar Council will announce a mass event that suits the aspirations of its fighting body, in coordination with the partners supporting the union movement, at the beginning of next week, as soon as the consultations on it end.


Yesterday, Sunday, the Bar Association held its general assembly meeting at the headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent in the city of Al-Bireh. After the meeting, the Bar Council decided to open the door for voluntary transfer of practicing lawyers collectively to the register of non-practicing lawyers, in a step of protest by the association, which means a complete collapse and paralysis of the justice sector, according to Bar.
