Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - President Mahmoud Abbas stressed, on Saturday evening, the depth of the brotherly relations with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

This came during his reception, at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah, the Jordanian Minister of Interior, Mazen Al-Faraya, in the presence of the Minister of Interior, Major General Ziyad Hab Al-Rih, and the Jordanian Ambassador to Palestine, Issam Al-Budour.

The President praised the great support provided by Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah II, to the Palestinian people and their just cause in all fields, stressing the importance of strengthening coordination and continuous consultation between the Palestinian and Jordanian leaderships to serve the common interests of the two brotherly countries.

He pointed to the importance of increasing cooperation and coordination between the Ministries of Interior of the two countries, praising the signing of a memorandum of joint cooperation in the field of combating crime, which contributes to enhancing the exchange of experiences and information.

In turn, the Jordanian Minister of Interior conveyed the greetings of King Abdullah II to the President, and the Kingdom's keenness to enhance joint cooperation with the Palestinian side, and to provide all capabilities to support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people.
