Arab condemnations of the settlers' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and calls for an end to the Israeli attacks
Amman - "Jerusalem" dot com - Arab countries condemned today, Sunday, the settlers' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned the continued Israeli violations in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Qudsi Al-Sharif, the latest of which was allowing extremists and a member of the Knesset to storm the mosque and violate its sanctity under the protection of the occupation police, warning of the consequences of the continuation of these violations, and calling for their immediate cessation.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Haitham Abu al-Foul, said that the storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the provocative practices against it are a condemned and unacceptable aggression, and a flagrant violation of international law and the existing historical and legal situation in Jerusalem and its sanctities, stressing that the continuous violations and attacks on the sanctities represent a dangerous trend, and an absurd and irresponsible act. It exacerbates tension and pushes the situation into a continuous cycle of violence.
And he stressed that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and Al-Haram Al-Sharif, with its entire area of 144 dunums, is a pure place of worship for Muslims, and that the Jordanian Department of the Jerusalem Endowments and the Affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is the legal authority with exclusive jurisdiction to manage the affairs of the Holy Mosque and regulate entry to it.
The official spokesman for the ministry held the Israeli authorities responsible for the escalation that is taking place today, calling on Israel, as the occupying power, to immediately stop all attacks and violations against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to respect its sanctity, stressing the need to stop all measures aimed at changing the historical and legal status quo, and to respect the authority of Administration of Jerusalem Endowments and the Affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jordan.
The State of Qatar also condemned the storming of dozens of settlers into the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupation forces.
In a press statement, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that these provocative practices are part of continuous attempts to change the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to advance the temporal division of the mosque, and warned that these provocations coincide with the new Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip that will lead to a dangerous escalation and waves of violence. violence.
It called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards Jerusalem and its sanctities, and to deter the occupation's attempts to turn the conflict into a religious war.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Qatar's firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of its independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
For its part, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned the storming of the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by settlers, in a serious violation of international law and the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its sanctities.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed, in a press statement, that the continuous violations and attacks on sanctities exacerbate tension and push the situation into a continuous cycle of violence.
It stressed its call on the international community to assume its responsibilities to end the escalation of the Israeli occupation, to provide the necessary protection for civilians, and to make all efforts to end this protracted conflict.
The Arab Parliament also condemned the storming of hundreds of settlers, under the protection of the occupying power (Israel), into the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the violation of its sanctity, in commemoration of the so-called "memorial of the destruction of the Temple", which is a clear violation of international law and the historical and legal status of the city of Jerusalem and its sanctities.
The Arab Parliament warned that the coincidence of these provocations by settlers and the occupation forces with the current Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip will lead to a dangerous escalation and waves of violence, endangering peace and security in the region and the world.
