Jenin – “Jerusalem” dot com- Ali Samoudi – Time after time, the military occupation court in Salem extended the arrest and detention of the prisoner Omar Kamel Al-Ja’bari (33 years old), who was arrested in a special operation by the occupation forces with his brother Ali from his home in the town of Al-Yamoun, west of Jenin. , which was released two days ago, while the Military Prosecution demanded a harsh sentence for Omar, claiming that he was wanted and resisted the occupation.

The prisoner Omar is considered the fifth in his family of 9 members. He was born, raised and raised in his town, Al-Yamoun, according to his brother Adel, and he learned in its schools until the ninth grade, then he joined the field of work with his father and his brothers in agriculture and construction. He was arrested 4 times, and spent a total of 3 years in occupation prisons .

Adel says: "Over the past years, the occupation targeted our family. From time to time, one of my brothers was arrested, and my mother spent many years at the prison gates, and his arrests were repeated during the years 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022, and he paid heavy fines."

He added, "After his release from his last arrest, he focused on work and no longer interfered with politics. He started establishing his life, building a house and finishing it for stability and marriage, but the occupation cut him off by chasing and arresting him."

Since the beginning of March of this year, the occupation has targeted Omar, and the raids of his family’s house have been repeated, searching for him and threatening to liquidate him. Adel says: “We lived through nightmares of horror during the raids and vandalism of our house, the abuse of our family and the threat to assassinate Omar, and the eyes of the occupation continued to pursue and monitor him until the occupation managed to arrest him.” On 8/18/2022.

He added, "On that day, Omar arrived at our house, and suddenly, a quarter of an hour after he entered our family's house to check on her, the undercover units surrounded him, using a vehicle with a Palestinian license plate."

During that, more than 30 military patrols stormed the town of Al-Yamoun, and joined the special units that tightened the siege on the area and Omar's house. Adel says: "They fired at the house, because they wanted to carry out their threats to execute and liquidate my brother, who was with all our family, including women and children. Under bullets and threats, the undercover soldiers and soldiers stormed the house and detained all those in it, without regard for the panic and terror of the women and children.

And he continues: "The soldiers brutally assaulted my mother, my sister, and my ill father, confiscated all cellular devices, and arrested Omar and Ali. Al-Hamad escaped death, as they wanted to liquidate and execute him."

And he continues: "After the arrest, the soldiers returned to search my father's house and all the homes of our family, destroying and destroying all its contents, and confiscated 6 mobile devices that have not been returned to this day."

Omar is still in the cellars of the interrogation, and his brother says: "We feel constant anxiety and fear for his life, as he suffers from several problems and diseases in the back, head and feet, and despite that, they isolated him in the interrogation cells under torture in Al-Jalama prison."

He adds: I suffered several health setbacks, and they transferred him to Afula Hospital, but they returned him to the investigation and he is still detained in Al-Jalama, and the court extended his detention many times, and we are still prohibited from visiting him.”

During the past years, the sixty-year-old mother, Umm Fadi, suffered from the occupation targeting her family. Adel lived the experience of arrest, as well as Ali, who was arrested for the first time in 2006, and spent a year and a half behind bars.

Adel says: "In some years, my mother used to visit us in prisons. I spent 3 and a half years, my brother two years, and Ali a year and a half. My mother always cried and was patient as she moved through the prison gates to visit one of us."

He added, "Not a period passes without targeting us. If one of my brothers is released, the occupation comes and raids the house and arrests one of us, as if we are destined for life in prison and separation."

During the occupation’s arrest of Omar, his brother Ali was arrested with him, and he spent a period under investigation, and Adel says, “Omar lived under the same conditions of investigation and torture in Al-Jalama cells, and he was tried with actual imprisonment for 3 months and a fine of 10,000 shekels, and when the sentence ended, the occupation refused to release him, and detained him for several days, and it was a great shock to his wife and three children, who were waiting for him eagerly.”

The sick mother, Umm Fadi, did not rejoice when she breathed on freedom, so she cried with sadness and pain, and Adel says: "We hope that we will live the joy like other people, we were distressed on the day of Ali's freedom by extending his detention, and when he was released and returned home alone, our joy turned into sadness because of Omar's continued detention, And the threat of the occupation to arrest me and my brother Moatasem.”
