Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - Today, Wednesday, President Mahmoud Abbas received, at the presidential residence in Ramallah, the new Board of Trustees of Al-Istiqlal University , which held its first meeting today, to elect the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, his deputy, and a secretary.

The President emphasized the great and important role played by Al-Istiqlal University, with its academic and security aspects, in providing the Palestinian security sector with scientifically and academically qualified expertise.

The President pointed out the importance of completing the university's distinguished march and developing it for the benefit of the academic sector, the Palestinian security establishment, and the Palestinian people.

The Board of Trustees of Al-Istiqlal University, assigned by the President, held a meeting for it, where Lieutenant General Haj Ismail Jabr was elected as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Ahmed Majdalani as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Major General Zakaria Musleh as Secretary.

After the elections were held, a number of issues related to the work of the Board of Trustees and the regularity of its meetings were discussed, in order to ensure the regularity of the work and programs of the university.
